Officials confirmed Toby Nathaniel Willis was charged with rape of a child. According to reports, the victim was raped when she was between the ages of 9 and 12 while living in Ashland City.
The report stated she was removed by Willis from her bed and raped. The reports added unlawful penetration by Willis took place when the child was older than 3 but younger than 13.
Authorities confirmed Willis was told he was not allowed to go around his biological children or his wife."

“We have, and will continue, to fully cooperate with law enforcement officials and ask that you direct all inquires regarding Toby Willis’ case to the District Attorney’s office who have our complete support.”
The TBI is also seeking the public’s assistance in finding anyone who may have given Willis a ride while he was hitchhiking to Greenville, Ky., to escape arrest after being charged.
The TBI said Willis accepted rides from at least two people sometime between Sept. 5 and Sept. 6 from Shepherdsville, Ky., just south of Louisville, to Greenville approximately 115 miles away.http://www.tennessean.com/story/news/local/cheatham/2016/09/14/court-date-set-willis-clan-father-child-rape-charge/90363128/

«Oldest ‹Older 801 – 1000 of 1024 Newer› Newest»I've been reading about the chaos that's been going on in the Brad-Angelina household, lack of discipline, etc. If she gets custody of the children maybe TLC will approach her about doing a reality show to replace Kate+.

Tucker's Mom...189...Wow, was Kate represented by a lawyer who's represented A-listers?
**************************
I can't remember who represented her, that's why I was asking. If an A+ high powered attorney was involved, I would put money on TLC arranging and financing it. The Jolie/Pitt game plan sure sounds like something out of the same playbook, though. A shady approach in any situation, but in a divorce involving children it's unconsionable.

Both Jon and Kate had local attorneys for the divorce; the real question is whom did TLC retain to protect their interests. You know they had to have someone in the mix, given the way this all shook out.
LOL there is this one Kate fan who is trying to get the tabloids to do a story on Jon complaining on facebook about this one company who IMO was kinda unprofessional to him.I guess when negative stories about Kate pop up,the answer for Kate fans is to try to get the tabs to create a negative story about Jon Gee Whiz @GeeWhiz__ Sep 15

So cute when the sheep panic ;-o
I know - it is just baffling. I also liked the point they made about the 911 call - most people in that situation would stay on the line, because they are reaching out for help, and usually hang on to every word. They don't just hang up.
----------------------
Many of them do hang up. I think I've watched too many crime shows. People in shock over an incident, fatal or not, panic and hang up, while the 911 operator can be heard asking, "Are you still there? Don't hang up!"
Jeff's girlfriend is cute. They make an attractive couple. A four karat diamond, too, and a Christmas wedding! Looks like Kate was left hanging high and dry. He knew when to get out when the getting out was good!

When it comes down to it, TLC doesn't have to say anything at all about Kate Plus 8. They just don't bring it back. Does anyone think there's going to be hundreds of thousands of petitioners begging for it to air again? I don't think so.
It's interesting, all the hype about the big "I AM" campaign last spring? They're not even using the phrase on any of their show FB pages at this point. Big wind, lots of dust . . . and no action. That's TLC in a nutshell. The current regime there is due for a shake-up. The next shareholder meeting ought to be interesting.

Exactly, they just have to keep doing what they're doing now, just not air it. Other than really interested fans, I really don't think the average viewer is much noticing. It will be like any other show that quietly went away.
As far as the I Am campaign, I think it tested poorly and so they ditched it. Money down the drain.
Where did The Gladys come up with the announcement that TLC made about the January episodes? Did she pull it out of the depths of the fantasy hole she has dug herself into, or was there an official announcement by the network?
I just watched a show on ID, "Footprints in the Snow," about parental alienation where a mother poisoned her kids minds against their father, coaching her son what to write on social media, and hating the kids' father to the point of wanting revenge.
It didn't turn out so well for her. She hid her daughters from him,had convinced them that their father emotionally abused them, lied about him, and she served prison time because she ignored custody orders.
This was so Kate that it was eerie!
Are the church ladies planning an exorcism? I'd love to be there for that! So many heads spinning 360 degrees!

Admin (#12), and even if TLC does actually start airing these episodes in January, I think it reflects badly on the show that they have clearly been on the shelf for so long. The kids will probably look younger in those older episodes
than they did in the recent, shiny happy C-free People cover.
And are they planning to edit C out, or add some poke-and-dab couch interview with TFW saying these were filmed before he went away? If they leave him in the episodes, she's got to know people are going to be scrutinizing his behavior -- and hers.
Chiming in... long time, no post.

Why in the world is Jeff Millionaire speaking to Radar? He is supposedly engaged. Move on. Did something happen recently with Kate or TLC that got him angry?
LOL. Jeff Millionaire is robbing the cradle. Talk about going for a trophy wife! Wonder what his adult children think? Kate must be pissed the girl got a 4 carat engagement ring! I bet she blames Jeff, like Jon, for RUINING her chance to continue raining money from TLC.
I agree that TLC is just going to let Kate fade away. Her "masterminding" Jeff into a relationship failed and the puppies were all she could come up with! If she were at all popular, her show would not be pushed back continually. I think TLC is letting her contract run out. They filmed but do not have to air. Probably cheaper than buying out her contract. Or TLC is waiting to see if Collin can film because he is part of the deal.

Such a cliche.
I suppose TLC could just let Kate's contract run out, but I just know we'll see more beach vacays and "chaos". Of course, poking and dabbing about C. and puppypalooza.
Someone said Figure 8 productions has Kate+8 on the schedule to air in Dec.

%%%%
No, no, don't move on. Stick it to Kate first!
Just a guess but I wonder if someone was just running a bunch of old names looking for potential follow-up stories and saw some kind of engagement announcement, or they got a tip. They figured they could get a little milage out of him officially leaving Kate behind and see if he would talk. And he did! Also for him it was his chance to respond to the B.S. Kate told the tabloids some time ago playing it off like they were never together. He seemed genuinely hurt by that.
I tend to side with him, it must be hurtful when the other person won't acknowledge a relationship of that length and seriousness, and I'm not sure I really see the purpose of trying to deny it.
Kristine101 -- nice to see you! I enjoyed your comprehensive list of the stew of dysfunction that is The Learning Channel.
TLC stinks (#21), it's a bit sickening to think that TLC might indeed be waiting to see how things go with C. Can you imagine the poor kid finally getting some intensive help and healing, only to walk back into a house with 7 siblings, 3 dogs,
cameras, lights, microphones, a director, and assorted crew daddies? Oh, and the vortex of this madness -- the mother who used to beat him, and shared his painful private story with the world?
Admin (#25), maybe TLC will offer Jeff Millionaire his own reality show. And he and Trophy Wife can tell their "met cute" story -- how Jeff already had a girlfriend, "but she was gone the next day."

Because if she's dating a millionaire, she's not Single Martyr Mom of 8, home alone all day every day in her kitchen (sniff sniff). She's got that image to protect. And it was always just an image, we all know her kids are out of the house 9 hours a day and that she largely spends her time aimlessly drifting from Target to Costco and back again.
She's been totally quiet for almost 6 whole days. I wonder if she's been spending her time looking for TV/radio interviews to respond to the last month's worth of bad press.

If, indeed, Kate and Jeff were a romantic couple, it's so childish to try to hurt him by acting like it was a "nothing" and you had no skin in the game and never really put the relationship on your radar to begin with.
Of course, there's the angle that if Kate admits she's got a social life and had a serious boyfriend, well then, she's not a suffering single mom, confined to her kitchen with a ball and chain.
Also, the "blind date" storyline which had Kate acting like a scared and anxious school girl going on her first date would look a bit...fake?
My guess is Jeff Prescott was contacted by Radar Online to ask him what he knew about the situation with Collin. Since they didn't mention anything about Collin they might have just got an update on his life since he left her.
I wonder if Jeff gives them some info but asks to be "anonymous" out some stuff.
It makes no sense for them to be randomly interviewing Jeff at this point. He's not a celebrity and hardly a public person.
I agree that either Radar was tipped off about the engagement or Jeff was contacted by Radar to comment about Collin. This makes sense. Glad to see him stick it to Kate. Such a liar. Same with her denying an affair with Steve.
I bet TLC was sold by her hawking a show with step- daddy Jeff dealing with her eight kids.
Can you imagine the poor kid finally getting some intensive help and healing, only to walk back into a house with 7 siblings, 3 dogs,
cameras, lights, microphones, a director, and assorted crew daddies?
*******
I wonder if Colin's professionals would even approve of filming, with all the demands and crew and lights and activity thrown into the mix.
I would think that when Colin comes home, the home will NEED to be consistent, with a very consistent routine so he doesn't have extraneous stimulation to upset his equilibrium.
I can't imagine bringing Colin back into the filming fold. I just can't.
It's too much to task a (emotional, behavioral) special needs child with.
Tucker's Mom (#29), simply put, Struggling Single Mom is TFW's BRAND. If she is happily dating a wealthy man, she ain't struggling, and she ain't single. Professionally, she seems to have all her eggs in TLC's basket. And since I believe, in her heart, she's made a Scarlett O'Hara-ish vow never to touch a bedpan again, she is extremely aware of how her behavior might impact her brand.
Because if she's dating a millionaire, she's not Single Martyr Mom of 8, home alone all day every day in her kitchen (sniff sniff). She's got that image to protect.
^^
Bingo. Kate has historically been able to suppress any and all dissent from the cast aways left in her wake.
Beth took YEARS to speak out and set the record straight-that she wrote the book, was co-author of the book, contracted for 50% of the book and expected to tour with Kate and discuss it.
Before she got shafted.
Here, Jeff is speaking out much sooner, and countering Kate's spin.
Kate's show might not be worm food just yet, but her juice sure as hell is drying up.
Milo is depressed again. Happy & high as a kite when Kate throws her a piece of Kibble but her cup of plenty runs out pretty fast and she needs a refill. Appears no one asked her about the eye surgery she insists was not for cataracts but something worse (of course) so she's pouting ..

Jeff has been to the compound. I recall a pic of him by his Land Rover in the driveway, beyond the gate.
That doesn't mean he's met or really knows the kids, but it's possible they've been introduced.
Especially if Kate was setting up a dating/possibly new Daddy storyline.
Well, in a real relationship you share with your partner what is going on in your life, so I would expect in a real relationship that went on 9 months he would know ALL ABOUT Collin, even if they were holding off on meeting. But this is Kate so who knows if Collin really is weighing on her mind or she's even looking for support in it in such a way that you would naturally talk with your partner about it. She is very out of sight out of mind, and she might not really discuss her kids much at all when she's not with them.
Admin (#42), judging by TFW's "no news is good news" policy when she went away and left her toddlers on a regular basis, I can't imagine her kids are a hot topic of conversation when she's out on a date.
If she did have a relationship with this dude, how pathetic that she went through that ridiculous coquettish display of preparing for her "first" date with Vann the Man. And there was Deanna, playing along with the charade. Realest reality indeed.

I just remembered something from my recap!
The kids said something to the affect of she never goes out and Joel specifically said this was her "first" date. Surely after 9 months they knew she was dating Jeff and there is proof he was over at the house. So did she make the kids lie and say it was her first? Assuming Jeff is telling the truth, wow, that's unbelievable.

Surely after 9 months they knew she was dating Jeff and there is proof he was over at the house.
--------------------
What proof is there that Jeff was at Kate's house? I don't remember ever seeing a picture showing that he was there. Where did you see this picture?
The only reference I could find about Jeff being at the house, was when ET published pictures of their "date" in Philadelphia. According to that article:
"A Source tells ET that the evening started when Jeff, 51, picked Kate, 40, up from her home in Pennsylvania. Jeff then drove them to Talula’s Garden, a high-end, chic restaurant in Philadelphia where the couple shared an intimate meal."
http://www.etonline.com/news/164399_kate_gosselin_millionaire_boyfriend_step_out_for_pda_filled_date_night/
However, there are no pictures of him being at the house. We only have the "source's" word that he picked her up.
I still think that this particular "date" was part of their "business deal" to introduce Jeff and Kate dating, which would later segue into filming for the show. It always seemed odd that in addition to pictures provided of the "date", there was a "source" who had all the details. If the photos were merely pap photos, the details about her being picked up would not have been known.
The kids said their lines which were lies. First date? HA! She never goes out? BS!
I remember reading somewhere that Jeff gave them Xmas presents, so of course during a nine month courtship he would have met the kids. He said in the Radar article he had no problem with her kids. Kate must have died and gone to heaven to nab a rich guy that was ok with her family. BUT, her life is all about filming and I totally believe he did not want the attention and neither did his family, so he bailed. She probably talked him into appearing during some pillow talk.
Frankly, I have to wonder if Jeff was even aware he was being photographed on that date with Kate. Since we know she has tipped off photographers in the past, it's almost a certainty she was the source.
The kids said their lines which were lies. First date? HA! She never goes out? BS!

In looking at the recap I also noticed the family can't keep their stories straight. The kids were saying this was her first date whereas Kate said she's been on a handful of dates. Which is it?

What is she doing!?! Making her children lie about this being her first date after the divorce? and her telling the truth of a handful of dates? And we all know who she was dating, Steve!
Of all of the lies she has told, what is she doing trying to not add on to the pile?
I remember reading somewhere that Jeff gave them Xmas presents, so of course during a nine month courtship he would have met the kids.
According to this article, he gave them presents, but did not meet them:
"According to the new report, Prescott has yet to meet 14-year-old twins Cara and Madelyn, and 10-year-old sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel, though he did get them Christmas gifts."
http://www.etonline.com/news/155989_kate_gosselin_new_boyfriend_jeff_prescott_is_a_millionaire/
I don't think that Joel was lying when he said the blind date was Kate's "first date". It was probably the only date he knew about.
Kate probably told the kids that Jeff was a business acquaintance and that any time she saw him it was a business meeting.
In looking at the recap I also noticed the family can't keep their stories straight. The kids were saying this was her first date whereas Kate said she's been on a handful of dates. Which is it?

---------------------
Oh, yes, Vann. Where is this guy now? Has Milo finally let go of her hints that these two are a couple? Has she stopped pestering Kate about him?
JamesVader,
Doesn't really matter if he knew about Collin'a situation or not. Radar Online has no idea what he knows so they could have just contacted him and got a None of your business, or I don't know, or I have nothing to say "on the record."
Adding to my previous post where I said "Kate probably told the kids that Jeff was a business acquaintance and that any time she saw him it was a business meeting."
Back in January 2015, Kate admitted that she knew Jeff, but said they just had a business relationship.
"Kate sighed, “Oh whatever, I’m not dating him.” She added, “He’s a business guy. We’re working on a business deal, and he’s a great guy, a nice guy, but they always make up all these stories… Okay, I get it. Everybody wants to me to be dating somebody by now. I get the hint.”
http://extratv.com/2015/01/13/kate-gosselin-responds-to-rumors-shes-dating-a-millionaire/
So I wouldn't put it past her to say the same thing to her kids to make sure that they didn't say anything to any of their friends or Jon.
Kate is a twit, it is highly likely during the nine months he met the kids. He may not have not met them in December, if that account is to be believed, but I bet he did. Why buy them gifts if not to warm them up to him dating mom and introducing himself? Great opportunity. Sounds like Jeff was all in on the relationship if they were talking about the future and him getting a place close to her.
Also, those kids are fed lines. The whole premise of the blind date show was manufactured; poor hard working lonely mom of eight has no time for dating. Boo hoo. True, the kids are not aware of everything she does on her "trips", but they are going to say the lines that work with the plot because they are told to either by Kate or the producer. Joel may or may not be aware of what his mom does or who she dates, but you can bet he was specifically given that line.
I wonder why Jeff still thinks the date would have been a "ratings bonanza". The date episode aired and it was a bust. I doubt it would have been different if he happened to be the guy.
If TLC was planning a spin-off with Kate and Jeff, then they have/had no intentions of letting her go. I wonder if the dating episode changed their minds. They may have believed that the introduction of dating/a relationship would be their secret weapon to revitalize the show. If all else fails, introduce a man into Kate's life and the ratings will be huge! I wonder what the reaction was when that episode was a bust. Stunned disbelief, I would imagine.
Kate, for sure, thought that a show about her dating would be huge. I remember her tweeting (long ago) about having a salad with dates, then clarified that she had the fruit kind of dates because she didn't want to cause a media frenzy because she said "dates". How arrogant. Well, that idea blew up in her face, didn't it?
How do you plan a "future together" with someone without meeting their minor kids?

Why would there be a tabloid picture of Jeff at the Konpound? She's not the subject of the paps anymore so the only way there would be a photo is if she tipped them off. I think it's safe to assume he met the kids, but did she introduce him as a business associate or more? If I were serious about someone, I would certainly want to meet their kids. That could make or break a relationship. He'd be foolish not to meet them during the nine months. Seems to me if he was considering finding a place close to her, his intention was to know the family intimately.

=======================
From the Radar article:
"“We talked a lot about our future together,” claims Prescott, 53, who currently lives in Massachusetts, New York City and Nashville. “I even began to look at homes in Kate’s area to be closer to her.”
Their "future together" could just mean their future together filming the show. Just like his supposedly looking at homes near her, could just be looking for another film set near Kate in which to film.
We don't know whether he met the kids or not, but like I said, they may not have been told the whole story.

Me, too. What stands out to me is Jeff saying that he was looking for a place to live to be near Kate. You don't do that for a business hook up.
I don't know why he'd just make that up out of thin air. No one was asking.
Jeff sounds totally hoodwinked by Kate. He's like us, circa season one.
You know with all these stories about Jeff telling people about Kate,im shocked that Milo, goody or the other fans aren't having meltdowns over this.Yet when Robert or an unnamed source speaks out, they start complaining and making assumptions that the unnamed source is Jon.Could it be that they figured out that there would be no excuse for someone like Jeff to tell a lie about this?
So easily replaced!

Yessss everyone else has called this all wrong. Kate actually is a normal and healthy 40 something year old woman with no mental or emotional issues at all and surely not a narcissist. Jeff's nuts, we're nuts, anyone else who has ever said anything negative about her is nuts. You're right.
Narcissists can be very charming initially.
Admin (#72), thank you for finally agreeing with our visitor. Now that you've admitted we're all delusional, she can put this in the win column, and move on to start reading and commenting on
a blog she actually enjoys. In all seriousness,
I hope she finds one that can bring her the enjoyment and camaraderie I've found here.
TFW not surfacing for almost a week probably means one of two things: she's filming and having her narcissistic supply filled, or she's on a vacay while the kids are being watched by someone
else, and the fans are not on her radar.

Yes, Jeff knows Kate, so we can believe he knows what he's talking about when he says she tried to fake a romantic relationship just to get on TV. That she toyed with his emotions and led him on just to stay on TV. We now know for sure that she uses people and throws them away when she gets (or doesn't get) what she wants. That the feelings of others mean nothing to her.
Thanks for the reminder! We were right all along.

I think she's quiet because of the Jeff stories. I bet she's been on the phone constantly with TLC's legal dept, asking, "Can we sue?"
No puppies tonight---it's a Blue Apron meal instead (are they paying her now, lol). OMG, I cannot believe she, of cookbook repute (can't really say fame), has posted a photo of a bunch of bows of chopped veggies (NOT "veges"), and it's a Blue Apron meal! She is really unbelievable. I guess piecin'-and-patchin' moms of 8 can afford this on a regular basis. Just show us your phoniness all over again, Kate, some of us may have missed it the first time.

Yes. Her girls are cooking her dinner while she mulls over how to respond to this. I think this time she really is stumped. If she says this is all nonsense again, then she's calling him a liar twice, and he might really fight back big time this time around. Especially if she knows damn well he's not lying. But ignoring it makes it seem like she is tacitly acquiescing that he's telling the truth. This is a rare lose-lose situation for teflon Kate and it's hilarious.

I wonder if they pronounce names the way they spell them!
I wonder if the 2 remaining boys were welcome to help prepare the meal, or if there was a replay of the flag cake scene: a tup girl says "J wants to help," and his boy-lovin' mommy snaps, "Well, he can't!"
Or maybe the boys weren't home for dinner, and were out at some sports practice, or music lesson, or coding or robotics class. Who am I kidding -- with C away, J and A have probably been enlisted to divide up his chores.
Does that meal look like enough for 2 16-yr-olds and 5 12-yr-olds? I assume Kate doesn't eat it. It doesn't look right to me even with bread. I see 4 eggs to boil, not enough green beans, maybe 2 chicken breasts and a pot of rice. I've never ordered Blue Apron.
Sorry. I see that's not chicken in the picture. It's other vegetables. Wonder where the meat is.
Jeanne said... 95
A couple of the comments mentioned chicken fried rice (and Blue Apron having it recently), so now the eggs make sense to me. Since she said all of it was prepped by the 12-yo girls (although I doubt Alexis was included), maybe the twins were out for the evening. Of course the boys wouldn't have been included because . . . boys.

Why doesn't the bird flipping Chaney lawyer continue to support her, he made a ton of money off her.
So either all or couple of the tup girls were preparing that meal. Mady and Cara probably said F-U to cooking and who knows where the two boys were. No issue with the girls cooking, but boys need to learn too.
Also, someone on IG was excited that the show was going to air in Germany. Looks like TLC is attempting to profit with her shows outside US. Kiss of death, IMO, when new shows air overseas. That means the US market has dried up. The igloo building show and a family game show aired overseas per someone on IG. Perhaps the new season will never air in US.
I knew the bread- making- mama would get bored with her Twitter boasting because it was all about hawking her miserable cookbook. I bet she cooks or bakes very little these days since no one bought into her being a chef, LOL.
I don't know how much Blue Apron costs, but my impression it's appeal is supposed to be for working couples who want an easy to prepare meal with relatively fresh ingredients that does not take much time. Kate really is lazy. I never could get over how she had no interest in a backyard vegetable garden, especially for someone who says they are into "organic".
Kate's just trying to become a spokesperson for Blue Apron. The. End. That's all it is.
Not only that, but she probably grifted the meal by promising to promote it to her (gag) followers.
So sad Kate is pandering to Panera and Blue Apron. Poor gal can't afford to buy it with her own money.
BA portions are hearty- I've made at least a dozen meals from them. My bet though? Kate will stretch 4 portions into 8.

Bone. Lazy.
BA and the like are great for busy working people, and people who just don't like to grocery shop. My single neighbor does BA and loves it. I swear, I've never seen her unload a bag of groceries from her car!
My guess is that Kate is still grifting from BA, and has a new sucker in Panera.
I guess the Chipotle gift cards dried up?
Oh, and a big "tell" with Kate is when she calls something that's no so very healthy, or something that's a short-cut, a "treat" that she "rarely" does.
Her bread machine is gathering dust, along with her deli slicer
I read recently (in the last week) that Amy Roloff was on one of the cooking contest shows (not sure if it was Chopped), and apparently she did really well, I guess her dessert did her in. I wonder if anyone's been calling Kate to do this.
GollyGee, although picked up by news outlets, the story is a hoax. There was also a hoax story that she was killed in Ohio and another one that she was pregnant.
GollyGee (#97), I think the "five" Gladys was referring to was the 5 daughters -- 3 tups and
the twins. I doubt Gladys even remembers C is gone.
Notice the girls were "excited to chop and prep dinner FOR mom," not "WITH mom." These kids
just finished a long week of long days at school, plus travel time each way, plus homework at the end of the day, and she has no job, and THEY have kitchen detail?
Of course it's wonderful to teach kids to cook, and let them help in the kitchen. It's a valuable life skill, and they probably enjoy it! But that's not the vibe TFW puts out. Like that
foot rub comment, they are meeting her needs
and pampering her, rather than the other way around. And she ascribes value to their help
in a way that makes it seem like a commodity --
a way of buying her love and attention. Look
how poor C struggled to win her approval with
his sweet, helpful nature.
Tucker's Mom (#105), at least she didn't say the bread was a "rare" treat!
Blue Apron's target market is 20-30 something professionals, paired up or single but no kids, city dwellers, who only have a few hours in the evening after work and would rather be watching Netflix than spending the whole time on pinterest figuring out what to make, grocery shopping and cooking. I'll admit that's your whole evening right there if you haven't planned ahead. But this market still wants to feel like they were grown-ups and cooked a nice meal and don't constantly have take-out boxes around. I know several lawyer friends who do Hello Fresh, which is the same idea, and they are single and bring the leftovers in for lunch the next day, so it's a one-two punch for them. I've looked into it, the biggest drawback I see is the price.
I prefer home cooked too but I think it's cheaper to do make ahead meals if you feel like you don't have the time or energy. I have things like baked ziti and veggies, a zucchini rice and beans casserole, sweet and sour chicken with pineapple and peppers, and some cooked chicken and shrimp on hand in the freezer. Any of those can be popped in the oven or into a pan when I get home from work and paired with a salad for a healthy meal. I also have some pretty quick recipes from things we stock in the fridge. On a weekday I can always throw together in a flash a personal pizza on naan bread, or some penne, or tacos with avocado. That's the groove we've fallen into for years and it works.
Weekends are for make-ahead meals (this weekend it's McDonald's style egg McMuffins you can grab on the way to work and heat up there) and if you do that Blue Apron should't be necessary. Unfortunately it's one of those things that seems like fun but you can't really justify the expense even if you're made of money. A little hack though, I sometimes look at their site or Hello Fresh for recipe ideas! They lay the meals all out there.
Admin (#109), remember when TFW had her free tummy tuck, and they showed her preparing all those meals for the kids to have while she was away? That seems like something she could be doing now, while the kids are away at school. So none of her too-few hours with the kids need be spent slaving over a hot stove. But I think the kitchen has always been a place to escape for her -- to avoid interacting with the kids. She just not that into them.
Of course it's wonderful to teach kids to cook, and let them help in the kitchen. It's a valuable life skill, and they probably enjoy it! But that's not the vibe TFW puts out. Like that

&&&&
And of course she'll say but they WANT to do it.
The problem is kids aim to please. If it up to you, the adult, to set boundaries and make sure they have a healthy balance, and that most of their time is spent doing age appropriate activities and with friends their age, not revolving around serving you.
A child might not really want to sit there and rub their mother's feet. Or wait on her all the time. But, if she manipulates enough, they'll eventually concede and it can even get to the point where they're not really sure what they want. It's the same concept with filming. Do they all really want to film, or do they fully understand that Kate wants to do it so badly and so they just want to please her by agreeing to it?
I don't really know what her kids really want nor am I sure they do, because there's just so much manipulation going on.
In extreme examples, some kids will "consent" to things like sexual abuse. They will allow the rubbing and touching, kissing on the lips, even intercourse, without protest. Because the perp wants it so much and the perp is someone close to them like a father or uncle, they feel bad saying no.
It is not at all uncommon for a kid to not say no in that situation, just like it wouldn't be uncommon for a kid to not say no to rubbing feet or cooking for their mother. That's why we say it doesn't matter if the kid was fine with it, they can't consent.
If she spent a day or two each morning after school swinging by the grocery store and putting together half a dozen casserole dishes of something, she could have the whole rest of the meals for the week ready to just heat up. You'd only have to do this at the beginning of each school week and you'd be home free the rest of the time. I really wonder what she does with her time all day.
A little hack though, I sometimes look at their site or Hello Fresh for recipe ideas! They lay the meals all out there.

I have a handful of favorites that I make from BA cards because I was so impressed with the dish. What I love about BA is that DH can cook dinner from start to finish with zero help from me!
We've enjoyed BA a few times because aforementioned neighbor travels out of town quite a bit, and forgets to cancel her order, and gives it to us.
I haven't pulled the trigger on ordering myself, although they have great $40 and $50 off offers.
Right now, I enjoy grocery shopping and am a farmers market fanatic, going at least once a week, year round. So, there's no compelling reason to subscribe to BA.
But, when we are gifted with a box, we really do enjoy.
It's just farcical to see Kate using them on an ongoing basis, when she swears she's chained to her kitchen in between grocery store runs.
Still laughing thinking of her bread machine that doesn't know how to help her anymore. The Betty Homemaker image really served her for many years.
My two cents on the BA prep is that someone other than TFW or the tup girls did it (not a nanny/cook?). I enlarged the picture and the knife cuts on everything are just too good. Everything seems to be a uniform size, etc. We've all seen TFW's non-existent knife skills and if the tup girls do that perfect a job maybe there's a place for them on Chopped Jr.
It is pretty gross that Kate makes her kids massage her and rub her feet on a regular basis.
I really wonder what she does with her time all day.
*******
I think Kate spends a helluva lot of time watching her Google alerts, going to the spa and lounging in her bedroom.
And of course the crockpot! Chilis, tortilla soups, Indian dishes. Thrown all those in there, set it and forget it and come home to a delicious meal.
I'm not quite sure why she puts out this impression of slaving in the kitchen all the time. Unless you're trying to do fine French cooking every evening, which clearly she's not, it's very easy to throw together easy and delicious healthy meals. Modern conveniences make it that way.
If 12-year old girls prepped that meal, they've got better skills than Kate.
Her food is always sloppy.

Love slow cookers.
You want to really geek out, get an Instant Pot pressure cooker. Letting a meal cook all day in the slow cooker is great, and so is throwing beef stew in a pressure cooker and have fall-apart tender and flavor-infused beef cubes in an hour.
Pulled pork sammies on a weeknight is also amazing!
With those extra freezers, you think she would have casseroles and soups packed in there. She used to show us all the cookies she would freeze. I doubt that's happening anymore.

And no pic of Kate's 56 fucketybillion cookies she makes and freezes for the school year.
I got to say, my impression is that she seldom grills out. Every time she's been filmed grilling, she acts like she is terrified. Could be a "helpless female act", but I think she is just not comfortable doing it.
Did she have crockpot recipes in her cookbook? There is nothing like the aroma of a meal cooking in a crockpot! So easy.
We're getting into serious braising weather here. I love putting a dish together and letting it cook for hours.
Aromas filling the house is such a comfort thing.

Yeah, but look at what she's had to trade for it. I envy nothing.
Everything is tainted for her need to be loved and adored, and is seen through the lens of what and how everything in Kate's world can be used for gain.
That dinner prep photo is Kate choosing not to be in the moment, with her children, in the privacy of her home. Rather, its a grift for free BA and Panera food.
A millionaire grifting for food. How sad is that?
You know why it's so damn sad? Because Kate doesn't need to accept handouts and free shit. She wants to because...she can.
Ah, crockpot talk (*waves to Dwindle*). Can vinegar and hardboiled eggs be far behind?
Admin (#112), when talking about the kids' eagerness to help snd please TFW, I think it's also important to factor their physical abuse
into the equation. Saying no to a parent under
healthy circumstances is one thing. Saying no
to a parent who will throw you in your crib by your hair for disobeying is another.
Look at TFW's journal passage about "happying"
M up with the spanker. The child wasn't even misbehaving -- she was just grouchy. A child would be awfully careful to be cheerful and cooperative if the alternative was a beating.

Not everyone wants to spend their weekend cooking "make ahead" meals. Of course someone who can afford BA or the like can justify the expense. Not everything in life is about saving $.
&&&&
Huh? I never said everyone should spend their weekend cooking ahead. I never said *I* do that. I was speaking for myself, not others, and I spend an hour or two making ahead on most weekends and that's it. Weekends are in no manner taken up entirely by make ahead meals. I also never said everything is about saving money. I was only speaking for myself. BA doesn't make sense for ME. It does not make sense when I live across the street from a grocery store and can walk there, I know how to cook, and have a library of recipes I know how to make. It does not save me much time since I have to go to the store anyway for things like milk, cereal, juice. Obviously, it makes sense to other people as they have many subscribers. Though, it could be a fad. We'll see where they are in a few years. I imagine a lot of those people aren't comfortable in the kitchen and this is a stepping stone.
I also didn't point out another drawback FOR ME (is that clear?) and that is the incredible amount of garbage each package generates because my understanding is most things are individually packed. If other people are comfortable throwing out extraordinary amounts of garbage, whatever.
So FOR ME, spending a lot of extra money for not a lot of benefit doesn't add up.
Oh, and just because you have money, doesn't mean you suddenly start making poor financial decisions that make no sense. Having money doesn't mean you have to spend it in a manner that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. It also doesn't mean you are immune to someone pointing out, hey, that's a real waste of money. People can say what they like about a public company. They have plenty of places around the web to leave reviews where people have said the same. I am allowed to say that too.
I think the kitchen remodel and the guest appearance of Emeril was a test for her to do a cooking show, a la Martha Stewart. She tried again to sell it with Twitter photos and the cookbook. She ain't Pioneer Woman! TLC sure tried to find her a niche. Total fail! Now she is the dog whisperer, LOL. Wonder if she still has the chickens now that Colin is gone?
I've seen anyone fall into such good luck and totally blow it like she has.
There is no need to spend her weekends cooking for the week because she has NO FULL TIME JOB and the kids are IN SCHOOL. She has help with the cleaning and laundry. She has plenty of time during week days to shop and cook. She uses BA because she is lazy unlike full time working people. BA makes no sense for her large family.
TLC stinks (#135), maybe the new deck, and the superfun shindig celebrating it, was TFW trying
to show her mad party-throwing skillz. Remember her big contribution to the tups' first carnival party was sitting and cutting tickets -- while
her lazy, skirt-chasing loser ex slaved away building the booths?

Catching up on the JonBenet documentary and seeing portions of Burke's 1997 interview I've never seen before.
I agree quite a bit with the investigators on other points, and I'm loving their podcast, but just don't agree with their take on his the interview. They are WAY overanalyzing Burke's reactions and statements and attributing motives to benign things he is saying. It's way off base.
I found his interviewing strikingly normal and common. It is totally normal for a child to not be upset, and in fact if he were charged with the massive task of covering up his sister's murder, I would not expect such a calm, somewhat jovial kid. I would expect a stressed, reserved child reluctant to answer questions. Kids react very differently to trauma than adults do. I feel they are approaching him and expecting reactions from him one would expect from an adult. They see him as a cold hearted accomplice. I see a kid who knows NOTHING which is why he can't have emotional reactions to things he does not KNOW about.
You have to understand, a 9 year old is not able to even understand what happened in the way adults do. Nor is he able to truly understand the gravity of what he has lost. That doesn't come until later. The interviewer did ask way too many leading questions. A huge no no. Opportunity lost.
I also don't buy his parents would offer him up to the expert to be interviewed if they thought he did it. No one was requiring them to do that. It was asked, but not required. Why take such a gamble he would crack?

TLC stinks...123...There is nothing like the aroma of a meal cooking in a crockpot! So easy.
*******************
Bouquet d'crockpot adds to the hearty dining experience, n'est pas? My poor little dog is not a fan, when the crock is on he give me the evil eye all day long, convinced I am hiding something delicious from him. Poor mistreated baby.
********************
A great fall dinner would be a crockpot full of chili that has been simmering all day. Then when you come in from work, get another crockpot and put in the hot dogs on high for 45 to an hour.
Throw the thawed out cornbread from the fridge into the oven and reheat, throw the hot dog buns, last minute. Make all of the toppings.
Dessert: Hostess Ho Ho cakes with a scoop of vanilla.
Oh, I forgot. The salad with the 1/2 tsp. of feta cheese! LOL
They are WAY overanalyzing Burke's reactions and statements and attributing motives to benign things he is saying. It's way off base.

They were saying this and that wasn't normal and how that's now how a 9-year old would act or say or react.
It's bullshit. Where's the normative data on how a 9-year old reacts to his sister's brutal, public and scandalous murder?
I hope Jim Bob finally got his upcommance!
http://getreallol.com/jinger-duggar-tells-daddy-decison-get-married/
Jinger has told her daddy that her and Jeremy are getting married in Laredo, TX!
Jim Bob is completely against Jinger and her fiancé, Jeremy getting hitched in Laredo, Texas as opposed to Arkansas, which is where the Duggars reside. (We’re thinking a wedding would be so much less expensive to organize, plan, prep and develop a made for TV episode right there in the Duggars’ homeland), however, it appears that ship has already sailed and, sadly for JB, he has lost control of this entire event. The battle of the Duggar wedding is no longer in his control and he has nothing to say about it.
They drive to Virginia to get a wedding dress for free but she can't get married one state over?
Way to go Jinger! So proud of you!
Sorry, suck it up, Jim Bob Buttercup!
The interviewer did ask way too many leading questions. A huge no no. Opportunity lost.

OMG, the pineapple! The interviewer kept asking about it until Burke just didn't know what to give him to satisfy him.
Then the investigators took that at Burke trying to hide or cover up.
There was a lot of bias going on there.

What really bugs me is Patsy looking at the camera and saying "We will find you!" or something like that.

Idk. I found the team of experts to be very believable and I found the interviews with Burke a little disturbing. I agree they may have read too much into some things, but I think at age 9, he would have been upset and not so laid-back and kind of flippant, and be more curious about the murder ( I was a pediatric nurse and have 2 kids, babysat many more so I feel I know what 9 year olds are like- of course there is a wide range) He knew JB was hurt and missing then dead, yet said he did not think about it much.
His past of hitting his sister, other violent attacks- more than average siblings, the scatophilia and smearing fecal matter on JB's Xmas gift, bed, walls, his own bedwetting tell a story of some disturbance. That doesn't make him a murderer. I believe he hit his sister, hard, with the flashlight, didn't know if she was dead or alive. The alerted parents sent him to his room while they tried to come up with a crazy, desperate cover up for many reasons, mainly not to lose Burke and direct attention to an intruder or small foreign faction. The behavior of all the three Ramsey family members the day after Xmas was odd. Burke stayed in his bedroom, (unless present for the 911 which is not proven) then wanted to take a Nintendo game to his friend's home despite his sister hurt, missing and police present. I thought the parts where he reiterated how deeply he sleeps, in the interview, very telling.
JMO! Must say I find this case much more interesting than Kate's activities!
Oh, I forgot. The salad with the 1/2 tsp. of feta cheese! LOL

You're naughty!
OMG, my local Wegmans had a Hatch chili "festival" a couple weeks ago and I stocked up on roasted and peeled hatch chilis-lke 6 containers!
I made chili verde with pork shoulder and it was the best chili ever. DH gave it a 10!!!!
No, seriously. Those hatch chilies are amazing. Now I know why the hype.
I finally watched the JonBenet CBS show. I think it was set up to finger Burke, who may or may not have been involved. He did appear very restless as a child (attention deficit?) and as an adult (on Dr. Phil) he does not react normally (smiling while talking about his sister's murder). Frankly, the fact that the Grand Jury voted to indict John and Patsy and the DA opted not to proceed is total injustice for JonBenet. Patsy was a basket case who lived vicariously through her daughter. I do now think that it was not an intruder but Patsy. First, the handwriting on the note was indeed similar. And just an odd thing I did not know before, but I believe she was up all that night. She had the same outfit on early that morning she wore to the Xmas dinner the previous night and her makeup on. Wouldn't you go downstairs at 5:30 am in your PJ's to make coffee?

just saw Kate Gosselin and the kids being filmed at target LOL
Judas H. Priest, will this woman ever stop using her kids?
Oh well, life goes on without Daddy and Colin.
I the Target sighting is true, I don't get it. I really don't. Why are they filming but not airing anything?
TLC are arseholes for continuing to film while Colin is sent away. It's really disgusting.
I would think Jon has good grounds to shut filming down, based on the kids' emotional needs at this time.
Some other odd things:
Significant are the note’s closings—“Victory!” and “S.B.T.C”. Victory is well established as a Christian slogan which refers to Christ’s triumph by rising from the dead and symbolizing the triumph of good over evil and the forgiveness and everlasting salvation of a soul from sin. “S.B.T.C” is the well-known acronym for “Saved By The Cross.” - See more at: http://dyingwords.net/tag/patsy-ramsey/#sthash.l8Q0qCQW.dpbs
Patsy as very religious.
And what is really weird, JonBenet's date of death on her tombstone says Dec. 25. The note also says there will be a call "tomorrow" from 8-10 am. The note was written before midnight. The note makes it sound like JonBenet is alive, but the date on the tombstone is revealing, like the Ramsey's knew she died Dec. 25.

Right, but why? I think Patsy had not gone to bed and remained clothed from the party because the fight between the kids & aftermath kept her up all night. She had a lot of staging to do: writing the note, maybe helping with other grisly aspects of the crime scene , calling 911 then friends....I think Patsy was not guilty because how would she live without her precious daughter? The bed shown was not wet. If JB was taken to the bathroom before sleep she probably did not have a chance to have an accident, something Patsy dealt with often with both children. So I discredit that theory.Maybe she and John were up for hours discussing how to cover the accident up while Burke was banished to his room. I thought it was Patsy for along time, but now I firmly believe it was Burke for many reasons. We don't have to agree, but it's interesting to discuss. I also wish for justice for JonBenet Ramsey

I've watched dozens of forensic interviews and have had more exposure to kids who have been through trauma than most people.
Perhaps oddly, many kids do not display outward signs of trauma. I was surprised to discover this. It is normal to meet a kid who has been through something bad who will smile, joke, seem content and appear as if nothing has happened to them. One of the investigator admitted well yeah kids are resilient, BUT. There is no but. Kids are resilient, and 90% of the time, a kid will not be upset and crying when questioned. When they are you know they are either lying, or the abuse was very very disturbing. Also keep in mind the interview was 10 days later, a lifetime for a kid. If it had been done that day perhaps he would have been more shaken.
They expected Burke to be afraid of the person who killed his sister. They are assuming Burke really understood what happened to know to be afraid. He didn't appear to. Plus he's surrounded by cops and everyone is telling him they'll get to the bottom of this. Why wouldn't he trust the adults to protect him?
They were stuck on Burke staying in his room. Just the opposite, I find it totally normal for a kid to not come out and face a traumatic situation. Beyond normal. I suspect that's because they are too young to feel they can cope with something bad. Better to hide out.
The biggest flaw I saw in their Burke analysis was they expected adult reactions out of a 9 year old kid, and they assumed that all 9 year olds react to trauma in the way they think they should.
Burke sitting in the chair and leaning forward means nothing. Kids sit in chairs weird because they are kids and don't have self-awareness yet to know you don't sit oddly in chairs, means nothing other than he's a normal 9 year old.
I see them do the same thing in the Stephen Avery podcast, psycho-analyzing every word or lack of a word. It's a little bit of junk science, that part of it anyway. People don't react to things as you always expect. It doesn't prove much. Body language and choice of words are the one part of them I think is mostly hocus pocus. The forensic stuff, the SCIENCE, is much more reliable, and interesting.
Well, I think we can all agree Patsy wrote the note, anyway. But why? I guess we'll never 100% know. I agree forensic evidence is the true test. Dr Henry Lee wants to re-examine some of the evidence with the newer DNA tests.
The biggest flaw I saw in their Burke analysis was they expected adult reactions out of a 9 year old kid, and they assumed that all 9 year olds react to trauma in the way they think they should.
******
The notion that Burke was "overselling" his sleeping deeply seemed preposterous. So, not only was Burke able to get through a rigorous interview without slipping up, but he was clever enough to take the temperature of the room and adjust his delivery to ensure convincing.
That's some serious spy craft sh*t right there.
Unless Burke hit JB in the heat of the moment and realized what he did was so horrific that his brain schismed and totally blocked the memory.
I agree they may have read too much into some things, but I think at age 9, he would have been upset and not so laid-back and kind of flippant-------------
We all saw Burke now as an adult & can't really read him. And he's had 20 years of working (& I assume therapy) on his social skills.
If we can't figure him out now, then how could they even try to read him when he was 9? The guy is just wired different, and probably from birth. He doesn't have "normal" reactions to anything. Not then & not now.
They need to stop looking for normal there.
It could have been Patsy or Burke. Patsy probably wanted to help save Burke, or John wanted to help save Patsy. Either way, it's still creepy & there is nothing normal about any of it.

just saw Kate Gosselin and the kids being filmed at target LOL
________
I'm not convinced there's filming going on. Normally the public is kept further back than this.
A tiny insight. When I was 10, my parents built the home they wanted on some acreage of woods. (House and acreage smaller than Kate's.) It was farther away from town and other houses than we had been. I liked living there but as I got older I realized we were kind of isolated. My parents didn't like having to go out again to take us places to meet our friends and it was totally out of their way to pick us up. I was a bit of a homebody anyway so it only bothered me occasionally. I did participate in multiple music groups at school and I went to all of that. I loved that stuff. We had plenty of chores but they weren't sex specific. My mother did not go out to work but she was busy. She had a large garden, canned and froze stuff, cooked our meals, did all the regular stuff like laundry, later she ran a business out of the home. Our chores were age appropriate and I managed to read 3 books a week. I resented my chores in the same way any kid does. I never, ever, massaged my parents' feet.
I think the Gosselin kids feel even more isolated than I did. We were 15-20 min away from stuff. They are an hour from their friends. I had activities my parents supported. I wonder if they have anything to be proud of, something that belongs to them. I wonder if they have any perspective at all how other families live. I worry that they are walking on eggshells all the time. I think at this point they are very parentified, taking care of their mother. I suspect the girls, esp the twins, are preparing most meals and trying to make life easy for Kate. They must feel so isolated, so alone.
What does Kate do all day? I see Peggy on Married with Children. Plus too much alcohol. I am actually impressed Kate stays so skinny. Does she have an eating disorder? Does she use some kind of drug? Who knows? I don't see her eating Blue Apron.
If we can't figure him out now, then how could they even try to read him when he was 9? The guy is just wired different, and probably from birth. He doesn't have "normal" reactions to anything. Not then & not now.
They need to stop looking for normal there.
&&&&
You've hit on the fatal flaw in their analysis. They are comparing Burke to THEIR normal. Their normal may not be Burke's normal. They need to compare Burke's interview to Burke's normal. They are totally not even realizing that his normal could be heavy on the spectrum. Any kid on the spectrum who does an interview like this is going to seem off. That's the nature of being on the spectrum.
In one of the podcasts, one of the hosts even pointed this out. I think they were talking about Patsy's 911 call. They were so stuck on the fact that she never referred to JonBenet by name but kept calling her "my daughter". There were other word choices that upset them. They kept saying this is so unlike other "typical" 911 calls (which ones? are there a whole lot of kidnapping for ransom 911 calls out there to compare it too?)
The third person in the podcast, the layman, who they are kind of a dick too sometimes, pointed out, well but wait shouldn't we be looking at other recordings of Patsy, if there are any, or some other comparison of how she normally speaks? How can we compare Patsy to other random calls? Shouldn't we compare Patsy to Patsy? (GOOD POINT)
Both of them immediatly brushed her off, oh no no no that doesn't matter.
Huh? How come that wouldn't matter? Wouldn't that have everything to do with it?
I'm not saying I don't enjoy the two of them, I'm absolutely loving the podcasts. I think they're fascinating and 90% of their approach I agree with. But I still have my few criticisms, bearing in mind I've had a lot of experience with child victims of crime too, and so I have my perspective on how kids, and people, act too. They're coming from it from their psychology background, I'm more anecdotal. They put WAY too much emphasis on little turns of words, and insignificant body language. Junk science.
I should add that in my view, the big picture of the CONTENT of what Burke says and his general demeanor is much more important than hanging on how he says it or what he looks like when he does.
Burke was relaxed, playing a Guess Who? game happily, and none of the questions stumped him. He told some clear stories, and didn't hesitate to explain things they wanted clarified even if the FBI guys didn't like his explanations. Also of significance which they never pointed out is there are TWO interviews. One 10 days after the crime, one 18 months after. I still haven't found a way to watch both of them in their entirety, but no one has said there is anything inconsistent between the two of them. I'm sure they would point that out if there was!
If a child were struggling to lie and create a big fantasy cover-up, one would expect a child that young to slip up now and again, trying to keep his lies straight. Also, his second interview he looked bored, like he didn't want to do it. Gee, never seen that before. Snark! That wasn't a cold blooded murderer, that was a kid who is too cool for this and just wants to get back to school and is tired of being asked to talk about this.
As far as him hesitating over the pineapple, I just think he couldn't tell what it was. I've seen the picture of it, it looks like yellow stuff. Who knows what it was. He's not smart at the time to enough to connect that the pineapple is a very important piece, like the FBI guys thought he was. He identified the tea easily because that was easier to see.
I just feel like a nine year old tasked with covering up a murder would not be that relaxed, would trip up somewhere. His parents can't possibly prep him for every question they would ask, yet he answered them all.
They can't point to a single instance where he had some kind of major slip up. That's not very likely.
It's bullshit. Where's the normative data on how a 9-year old reacts to his sister's brutal, public and scandalous murder?
&&&&
They do the same on the podcast to various people. I'm in my car shouting compared to WHAT!! It drives me crazy when they say oh that's not what one would expect after just having got out of prison, killed their child, killed their sister, etc. Huh? What data?
The layman tried to explain to them well if this happened to me and my daughter I can see how I would probably let my other children sleep until I have more information.
They were practically yelling at her no you wouldn't you would wake your kid up!
She stuck to her guns, actually no, I would let them sleep until I had more information.
I'm surprised as psychologists they are not more accepting of the fact that ten regular people can have ten separate reactions to the same incident, and none are guilty.
Also, re: filming at Target? How stale does this show have to get before they finally mercifully shoot it?
Weren't Kate and the kids filmed shopping at Target last spring, right about the same time as the filmed trip to Costco? Can't they come up with anything new?
OMG, the pineapple! The interviewer kept asking about it until Burke just didn't know what to give him to satisfy him.
^^^
The crying shame in all of this is that they didn't phone USC and ask Dr. Thomas Lyon to fly out to Boulder and interview this kid. I think he was there even in 1997.
That is EXACTLY what happened with the pineapple questioning, Burke could tell the interviewer didn't like his first answer (I don't know what that is), and kept pestering him. So, Burke kept trying to give him an answer he liked until I guess he hit on it. The research has shown if you question kids like that, re-asking things when you don't like the first answer, kids quickly realize their original answer was not okay, and will change it. Even, innocently, lie to try to give you the answer you want.
I do also agree with the FBI guys that Burke made a comment that he has a lot of secrets, and the interviewer didn't follow up with it at all! (By the way I think that was an innocent comment, but worth probing further.)
The notion that Burke was "overselling" his sleeping deeply seemed preposterous
****
He's a regular kid and they think he's some kind of genius or at least has an adult brain. He wasn't overselling, he was trying to get them to stop pestering him about what happened that night because really and truly guys, I was ASLEEP. That's all he was overselling. Leave me alone about what happened when I was unconscious because I simply do not know. It's as simple as that.
I liked Dr. Henry Lee. He was shaking his head at them when they were jumping to conclusions. I believe him that DNA from the people who sew the underwear could get on it but I wanted to ask how long you would expect it to stay on the clothing. A new package of course, but what about after repeated washings and wear? Does it stay on it forever?

Could the Target trip have anything to do with the twins' upcoming birthday?
Maybe a Target budget is all she gets for the twin's sweet 16. I still haven't ruled out her hiring a film crew so that she can stat a YouTube channel. She sees how well Miranda Sings and others do on YouTube and may want a piece of that pie.

In this case, Kate is most likely spending the children's money on their evening meal. I guess it's probably cheaper than Chipotle, but inasmuch as Kate likes to sell herself as this frugal, coupon-clipping, all-about-the-savings mom of 8, don't expect her posting her Blue Apron dinner not to get a second look. She chose her brand, she'll have to learn to live with skeptics.

Kate spends her money on enough frivolous stuff that BA meals wouldn't really make a big difference. Besides, I don't think she pays for them. I think she gets them for free in exchange for promoting them.
But that's not even the point here. The point is that Kate's a big fat liar, liar, pants on fire.
She claims to feed the kids organic, which BA is NOT. She claims she's slaving away in her kitchen day after day, and that she's shopping with 2 carts, which is a lie.
THE WOMAN WROTE A COOKBOOK! How does that go along with having ingredients picked, measured and packaged for you, and sent to your door, complete with a large recipe card telling you exactly what to do.
It's like Kate doesn't even care anymore about her brand, or doing things that make her look like a con artist. As long as she gets something for free, she'll do just about anything.

Since they are filming, maybe those perfectly chopped veggies were created by a Figure 8 staffer so the girls could be filmed making dinner?
Can you imagine being an actual working parent who only has the weekend to run errands, and going to Target to grab a few things, only to find this ding-a-ling and her traveling side show clogging up the aisles?
I meant the film crew was the side show, not the children. They are not to blame for any of this.
So after a long week at school, and making dinner for Mom, the kids have to give up their Saturday to work? How is this still going on? How?

IMO, the Blue Apron issue regarding Kate is that it further proves how INauthentic she is. Here's Miss Organic super-organized super-mommy super-cookbook writer super shopper twice a week with 20 bags of groceries... you get the idea.

If they are indeed filming a new "season" (and skipped over/shipped abroad what they had in the can already), then you know that the theme will be something terribly TLC-poignant that highlights Collin's absence. See how Kate and her seven cope with her son (their brother) being institutionalized, sob sob sob. It makes me sick, but I can totally see them taking the show in this direction.

Patsy seems meticulous, it seems like she would always throw a new package of underwear in the wash first before giving them to her daughter. You're supposed to do that to wash out the formaldehyde. I still don't know though if washings can get out DNA from the worker in Thailand. That was unclear.

------
But we've seen time and time again children who aren't cheerful and cooperative. Children who in fact are straight out combative with their mother.
I still don't know though if washings can get out DNA from the worker in Thailand. That was unclear.
-----------
Dr. Henry (love him!) wasn't clear about that, but I would think that washing would degrade the DNA.

So now Milo must monitor both IG and Kate's Twitter? Does she get overtime pay, or at least a raise? Would she get Workman's Comp when she's unemployed during her surgery?
So I was in the grocery store tonight and bought the latest issue of People--couldn't resist with Brangelina on the cover and a story about the US's oldest serial killer (they think).
Anyway, towards the back of the issue is a 1 page story, complete with pictures, of 7 stars with their dogs who have their own IG accounts. The # of IG followers for 5 of the dogs was listed (1 dog has 194,000 followers on IG). But TFW and her adorable fur babies are not profiled!!
I would bet that not only is TFW's head spinning, but she must be hitting the speed dial button trying to reach Kate Coyne. Look for a sudden upswing in the # of her IG followers and even more pictures with the fur babies.

Kate and her booby guard were at Target today. He was blocking the aisle to 'protect Kate' and keep people away from the filming.

Well, he wasn't doing such a good job, the photo posted on Twitter was taken from pretty close up.
This sorta makes me wonder about the relationship between Figure 8 and TLC. Is TLC obligated to purchase what Figure 8 produces? I get that they are contracted for X number of episodes in X period of time. But can they send it back for revision if they don't like it or even just decline it? And to what extent is TLC involved in the storylines? After the accusations of embezzlement and inflated budgets that prompted TLC to look into LMNO's (The Little Couple's producer) billing, are the other production companies they hire are getting the same sort of scrutiny?
Given how much filming Kate has claimed they were doing since February, I think's it possible they're slicing and dicing what's been done over the past 6 months in order to piece together new episodes that allow them to use some of that footage. "Reality" TV sleight-of-hand. I'm not ready to concede she's got a whole new season locked down at this point.
