Apparently she has quite the mouth on her and drops the F-bomb whenever and wherever she feels like it, and her rudeness to the staff and others have been confirmed by many.
____________ Yes, I remember reading that she could curse like a trooper!
Oooh, a couple of new IG comments she hasn't swiffered yet:
errington_bound Wow the tabloids are having a field day over these unproven child abuse allegations. I like how they say she's not the most patient mom ever like really she 8 kids no one would be "the most patient" with so many kids. Why do they hate her so much!
nick_moy@errington_bound I stopped reading the tabloids. It all boils down to making money.. Some social media will pay money if you have a lot of followers or hits to their postings. So not looking or reading their lies, I am not supporting them. I once heard this about the tabloids. "Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story".
jbnicholssKate, I know this is a TOTAL shot in the dark, but...I have watched you and the kids since I was in 3rd grade! We even got a DVR so that I could watch the kids when I got home from school:) I'm now a sophomore in high school and my mom and I are going to be in your neck of the woods this weekend. Is there any place we could meet up with you and maybe even some of the kids if possible?! it's my dream to meet any of you guys, I've been amazed by your grace and stick-to-it-ness throughout the years and hardships. You are a class act and I admire you so much.
I think that last one is from the same person mentioned by Sherry above (198). "Grace"? "Class act"? It's an act, all right, but class is no part of it.
If Hillary wins, about the smartest thing she could do would be to divorce ole Bill tout de suite. Otherwise, there will forever be a question about who's really running the ship. With all that's come about about the Foundation and CGI and Teneo, I think she's really got to put some distance between her and them.
nick_moy@errington_bound really thinks the tabloids are all garbage. But how does nick_moy@errington_bound explain the fact that they have been proven many times to be absolutely correct??
@Admin And once again the fans seems to think there's this whole conspiracy that the tabloids are out to get Kate.Errington_bound said in their sentence"Why do they hate her so much"?Do these fans really think people just hate Kate without any reason?I bet like with Kate's other fans Nick_moy doesn't call the tabloids garbage whenever there's a negative story about Jon.
@Admin And once again the fans seems to think there's this whole conspiracy that the tabloids are out to get Kate.Errington_bound said in their sentence"Why do they hate her so much"
&&&
They're absurd. The tabloids were just looking for a good story, any story, and got their hands on some (real) documents, like police reports. It's cliche, but it's really not personal. They would have done this to anyone who was involved in police reports such as these. If this were Jennifer Gardner they would be published too. One thing led to another and here we are. Besides, it's really not the point that the media hates her or love her. That's a separate issue. It doesn't change the authenticity of those police reports.
I would just like to add my two cents about the election. My parents are snowbirds, spending half the year in Florida and the rest up here in Ontario. When they came back, they were talking lot about your upcoming election. They kept bashing Hilary and I would always come back with the opinion that she'd be a much better President than Trump. I would tell them why I didn't like him. but never understanding their negativity toward Hilary. One day over lunch I finally said "Why don't you like her? They both replied in sync-"She's corrupt". I asked for examples and went home and started doing ridiculous amounts of research. Reading the book Clinton Cash, the email scandals, scanning Wikileaks and reading in detail about massive amounts of rapid income with blurred lines regarding the Clinton foundation while following alternative news sites with a critical eye, convinced me my parents were right. When I went back to them with my new found 'awareness', my father said-"It's not like we want Trump to be the next President. We just don't want that crook in the White House". I'm by no means a pundit, but I've consumed more than enough information by reading and watching every type of coverage. If I hadn't taken it upon myself, I'd be believing all the crap that the main stream media is shoving down our throats. Although CNN-ABC-NBC etc may have touched on the donations to the Clinton Global Foundation from Qatar and Saudi Arabia, they certainly aren't espousing that Hilary who is supposedly for 'women' and 'fairness' and 'equality', is fattening her 'foundation' from countries who don't allow their woman to drive, govern by the law of Sharia, throw gay people off of buildings and are allowed to beat their women. Hilary is in this for herself. My parents are heading down later this year as my father is having surgery tomorrow. He's going to one of the best hospitals with a top surgeon just by using his Ontario Health Card.He has coverage for prescriptions afterward and fast paced follow up visits. He talks about his American friends and how they're suffering under Obamacare and working way past retirement just to have some medical insurance. The USA deserves better than this. I really like the United States of America in so many aspects and tomorrow I wish for a peaceful election process and moreover, I hope for you all to be safe in what is truly the most sensational event in our lifetime.
I really like the United States of America in so many aspects and tomorrow I wish for a peaceful election process and moreover, I hope for you all to be safe in what is truly the most sensational event in our lifetime. ****** Thanks, Ellie. That was a really thoughtful post and I appreciate your support. There's been too much hate from inside and out that it's so nice to read that other people understand what a difficult year this has been. Your parents are lucky snowbirders! My in-laws did that (NJ/FL) for many years, and now are full-time FL residents. They love it.
swingsandroundabouts said... 10 To all of you who vote today, or who have already voted, I wish you the best possible outcome for you, your families and for your country.
I have been following your election, and it has been a really scary roller coaster ride. I don't know how you do it without losing your minds. ****** Many minds have been lost, I have no doubt ;-) I voted early, at the local elementary school. It took under 30 minutes on this chilly morning. The process was streamlined and painless. Now, it's done for me. Thank the LORD!
Another Canadian here who is hoping for a peaceful election day and the usual smooth transition of power from one President to another.
As well as following the election results, I keep thinking of vulnerable Collin being held in virtual solitary confinement in order to "earn" time with his siblings. What a twisted woman.
" Is there any place we could meet up with you and maybe even some of the kids if possible?! "
-----------------
It always creeps me out so much to read pleas like this. Why do you want to meet the children? They are just regular kids, they are not freaking zoo exhibits, they're not celebrities either. So crazy!
Great post Ellie. I'm glad you took the time to research the candidates rather than just listening to the 30-second blurbs on the mainstream media. It is quite depressing to see the media outlets so obviously biased. CNN and NBC are obviously promoting Hillary while FOX is obviously promoting Trump. I miss the days when the media reported the news in an intelligent way rather than trying to push their agenda on the viewers. This election has become nothing but a big reality TV show. The Survivor generation is picking the leader of our country.
This election is going to be about picking the lesser of two evils. Trump is a political idiot and Clinton is corrupt to the core. Personally I'm voting Trump because I think with a lot of opposition to his ideas in Congress he will do the least amount of damage to the country over the next four years. I don't think we'll be better off in 2020, but maybe we can have a do-over then with candidates that are actually competent.
Here is a voting tip when you are not pleased with either canidate... Vote for the person who best THINKS like you do. Seriously take into consideration the Supreme Court nominee. At the end of the day, the Supreme Court judge(s) will be in their position much longer than the President Elect.
Admin says:A secret service agent said that at the White House he would say good morning to ole Hill and she would respond "F$$$ off!" Well, at least she didn't say she could grab them by the p***y!
Hooray! I voted! Waited in line for thirty five minutes, at a polling place that usually takes ten minutes tops. Fantastic turnout! Very happy, no more robocalls, no more campaign ads! .. until the Virginia governors race really revs up. Virginia elects our governor on odd years, lucky us, she said sarcastically.
#NookiePookie is just so #CutesyWutesy! New IG pic of Shoka and the white one. I don't think she dares venture on to Twitter anymore, at least not until she's back on the tube.
kateplusmy8 I love you, Daddy, but right now I'm chewing on my 'stick', okay? #Nanuq #Shoka
greathealthkickof_2015 So gorgeous, hope to see the new pups in episodes one day 😊
kateplusmy8 You WILL see puppies soon! Kate Plus 8 + puppies episodes coming starting Nov 22 at 10/9c !!! @greathealthkickof_2015
She went back and dropped a couple more comments on the last photo. Oddly, she didn't reply to that young woman who was trying to visit her. (LOL) And of course a pat on the head for her new defender.
fluffywhitelucy Kate, this looks so much like my Lucy Girl!!!
kateplusmy8 Omg omg omg! Is she also a sable shepherd? How old is she! It's crazy how much they look alike!! @fluffywhitelucy
kateplusmy8 👍🏽 Wise words and actions @nick_moy !!!
@JustMissy (15) Well this is the closest we've seen Kate admitting to voting trump,on the recent IG picture of Nanuq and shoka someone said "TRUMP" to which Kate replied with a thumb up emote.I wonder IF trump becomes president she'll then say something.Apart of me believes the reason she's not saying anything about this is because if he doesn't become President then she wouldn't get anything out of it and in her mind it'd be pointless if he doesn't.Whereas if he does, she could get something out of it or maybe im just being like milo and thinking i know the mind of Kate.
I wonder if TFW realizes that her female pup is now a little over 6 1/2 months old and may be going into her first heat soon and that Shoka (and Mak) will be all over that in a heartbeat. They don't care if they are related. Cute pictures until one of the kids screams "Mommy! What are they doing?!" There comes a time when you can't let the intact male and female run around free.

****** Kate's writing the "Gosselins Go To Washington" episodes in her head as we speak.
She also replied to a comment by someone who wrote "TRUMP" with a thumbs up, so I guess she is officially endorsing her old "boss"....
&&&&
LOL! THAT'S her efforts to "endorse" the man who gave her career such a swift kick in the rear when she was nothing better than a grass stained old deflated soccer ball? She is something else. That's not how you get a White House invite.
I'm sure that this has been mentioned before in lots of threads but I ill say it again here. Who can ever forget how horribly abusive- both verbally and emotionally-Kate was to Colin at Gumgate? That was such an overt example of child abuse that at the time i could hardly believe my eyes and ears. How could any decent Mom (or network -shame on TLC) not be outraged by that??
Can Kate possibly be that much of an idiot to think that Shoka has some notion of paternalism when it comes to Nanuq? He'll mount her in a NY minute, then she'll have inbred dogs. I'm betting that none of the dogs are fixed and one of those males is going to get Nanuq knocked up. Dogs don't care about incest.
Gumgate was awful. Kate was so quick to lash out, and don't forget that Jodi had to get an earful right at the very moment Kate was raging over a couple pieces of gum on fabric.
Kaydee, what is sad is that on youtube, TFW's tantrum has been diluted by 90 percent. This is why I have said, the original DVDs that came out were not edited. They are going to be highly sought after because it shows her treating Colin horrible with his lovey bear.
Her screaming and ranting about the coupon. I could go on and on. I have tried to look for it on youtube. \
Does anyone know the name of the episode of gumgate? I will try again to find it.
Tucker's Mom (#29), that was one of the worst parts of it to me: seeing Jodi getting scolded. Here every Friday, she took care of 12 KIDS -- TFW's 8, and her own 4 -- and had to have her babysitting skills questioned by that horrible harpy. Imagine when Jodi watched the episode and heard TFW yell, "WHO would give you GUM?"
I wonder how often TFW watched Jodi's 4 kids along with her own? Smart money says never.

If you say Clinton is corrupt there's no way you can't say Trump is as well. He is beyond dangerous. The only way I'd vote for him is if I was into the League of Assassins the world has cancer and needs to be firebombed to "cure" it thing.
He talks about his American friends and how they're suffering under Obamacare and working way past retirement just to have some medical insurance. The USA deserves better than this. ----- Ugh, I'm sick of people hating on Obamacare. It did exactly what it was supposed to do, where/when it was allowed by Republicans to do it. His American friends are suffering under AMERICAN health care, Not Obamacare. Healthcare needs a huge makeover, which no elected Republican is willing to do, not Obamacare.
Trump is way more than just a political idiot. If you say Clinton is corrupt there's no way you can't say Trump is as well. He is beyond dangerous
&&&&
I understand that sentiment but I wish there was more understanding of why people feel Hillary is so dangerous. And it starts with someone utterly incapable of even understanding how to keep a basic email classified.
She doesn't even know how to use a desktop computer, and commands her staff to buy her ancient blackberries because it's the only thing she knows how to use. One had to go on ebay to get her the old version. She instructed her maid to print out classified emails because she doesn't want to read them on her ancient blackberry. The maid! It's 2016 and almost all classified material, not to mention terrorist acts, involve technology in some form. Our sitting president needs to have more than an elementary understanding of technology. And it would help if they wouldn't stubbornly refuse to learn, use and accept the wonderful technology we have in place to keep our secrets safe. This is SCARY. Understanding and maintaining classified information is one of THEE most important jobs of a president, and she's a failure at it. The other side says you want him at the button? Maybe not, but I sure as hell don't want her at the space bar.
During elections, I'm glad I live in a rural area. I went to vote. Pulled into the parking space, walked into the voting area. Nobody ahead of me, gave my name, marked off the paper ballot, put it through the scanner, picked up an apple, a scone and some coffee on the way out, and went on my way. Totally painless, and it took about three minutes!
Ugh, I'm sick of people hating on Obamacare. It did exactly what it was supposed to do, ****** Well, you'd have to have a wider swath of data directly from Americans to say that. I was *supposed to* keep my health coverage and I was *supposed to* keep my primary care doctor. I mean, Obama looked me right in the eye and said it over and over again. DH and I both had our PCP go concierge because of Obamacare (this is DIRECTLY FROM our doctors), we had to change our insurance, pay more and the coverage is not as good. It costs us THOUSANDS, and especially hurt the year all these changes happened. Changes were were assured would not happen. No way, no how. Read my lips. YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO CHANGE YOUR INSURANCE OR PROVIDER.
That still sticks in my craw, and I can repeat this for many people I know. I also believe in competition and free market.
I'm a multiple-issues voter, and that one in particular did not endear me to Obama. It doesn't mean I don't think he's not been effective in other areas.

Whatever Clinton is, Trump is ten times worse. Can someone please tell me what Clinton has ever been convicted of? Investigated and convicted? What? Someone please tell me. So all those things people say she's done, she's been investigated and NOT CONVICTED. She's been cleared.
Again, Trump's words comes from his own mouth, on national TV, in front of millions of people. His own words marks his as racist, misogynistic, sexist, crude, lewd, petty and a bully. He cheats people out of money (proven); he has knee-jerk reactions when he's insulted, a trait we don't want the president to have. I could go on and on...
Say what you want about Trump, but please don't tell me he's more qualified than Clinton. Who's finger do you want on the nuclear button? Ask yourself that question?
The process once inside took a matter of minutes. Got my sticker!
&&&&&&&&&&&&&
Ha! I didn't see any stickers, but maybe I was too busy looking at the free food and feeling very good because there was no line. None at all. In fact, the election officials were sitting there waiting for customers!
Here's the thing about Trump. We all laughed when he announced that he was a candidate. Sediment was that he's grow tired of it after a month or so. He didn't. Then we said it would be a miracle if he stuck it out to get the nomination. That happened. Love him, or hate him, he stayed with it until the end. And yes, Hillary's lack of knowledge in how to keep e-mails secure and safe does scare me. She sent blanket classified e-mails to Chelsea, who had assumed an alias name, for goodness sake. The deleting of thousands of all of those e-mails seems a bit sketchy to me and her unwillingness to learn basic technology is a bit troubling. It kind of reminds me of Kate and her laziness at not bothering with her blog, and just not keeping up with the times.
By the way, Donald wouldn't be the only one with his hand on the button, but Hillary alone worked the space bar, putting the security of the country at risk.
Whatever Clinton is, Trump is ten times worse. Can someone please tell me what Clinton has ever been convicted of? Investigated and convicted? What? Someone please tell me. So all those things people say she's done, she's been investigated and NOT CONVICTED. She's been cleared.
$$$
Well neither candidate has ever been thrown in jail so what does that prove? There are very high standards to convict someone and she has a lot of immunity from most suits in her positions. Just because someone has managed to slither their way out of a conviction doesn't mean they haven't done wrongdoing. Look at Kate. Has she been convicted of anything? But do you think she's done nothing wrong?
Well, you'd have to have a wider swath of data directly from Americans to say that. I was *supposed to* keep my health coverage and I was *supposed to* keep my primary care doctor. I don't think Kate votes. She would have to stand in line with those awful Wernersville natives that she despises so much. I was in line for 90 minutes then later the news showed the line even worse.
Ha! I didn't see any stickers, but maybe I was too busy looking at the free food and feeling very good because there was no line. None at all. In fact, the election officials were sitting there waiting for customers! ******* You got free food?! Then we said it would be a miracle if he stuck it out to get the nomination. That happened. Love him, or hate him, he stayed with it until the end. ****** All true. I know I never, ever, ever thought Trump would have made the Republican nomination, let alone be giving Hillary a bit of a race for her money tonight.
Look at Kate. Has she been convicted of anything? But do you think she's done nothing wrong? ****** Exactly. Kate's a perfect example of the confluence of many circumstances resulting in her still using and abusing her kids. Not being convicted is no evidence of innocence. Being investigate, numerous times, can result in nothing because of who you are, and the people you have around to protect you.
And I still think in Kate's case, the state of PA really does not want this (social experiment which garnered them untold funding) to end in horrific scandal.
You got free food?! Our elementary school had a sort of bake/breakfast sale, but we were moving along quickly enough that I didn't think I needed the sustenance to make it out the other end.

Oh, yes, anything we wanted and as much as we wanted. We are friendly folks here who love our food. I wasn't greedy, but everything looked so good.
Yes, Kylie, I agree with you. This woman has abused her family, classmates, co-workers, Jon, the twins, the septuplets, friends, the pets, the churches. for at least 30 years.
It won't go on forever. Her day of reckoning is near.
Layla, I'm glad you're having your kids watch this. This is incredible. Hillary has to run the boards now to pull this off. We could be here all night while they count Michigan.
There is one episode I would really look forward to recapping and that's Gosselins Go to Washington.
I told ya, Kate, you should have been sucking up to him AGES ago. A "thumbs up" endorsement the DAY OFF the election isn't going to cut it. Dummie.
Admin, We're watching the results on CNN and also watching online. If you add up the predictions online, Trump is going to win. CNN is being more conservative. I like seeing my sons debate the pros and cons of each candidate. Sadly, they realize that there are far too many "cons" for each one. We've decided that we want a do-over. Bernie Sanders vs Paul Ryan, we've decided, are our picks for candidates. Now we just need to figure out how to turn back time.
CNN is being way too conservative for me too Layla. I switched over to ABC. They're calling states 20 minutes before CNN does and nothing has been recanted yet. PA is in play. What the! You can go to the state web site and see more detailed numbers. Trump's way ahead.
The media is in shock, it's funny. George Stephonopolis is practically stumbling over his words. He can't believe it.
A lot of pollsters are fired tomorrow morning. In fact, the entire media should be fired. All of them. And the talking heads.
Sandi said... 55 Not to sure where I read this...Donald Trump does not know how to use a computer, that's why he is always on twitter. Make sense?

Yes, I had forgotten this. Maybe I read it on Slate or Washington Post? It was awhile back, but the gist was he cared little for and knew nothing about computers. He was able to handle Twitter.
Admin, It's been interesting listening to my boys talk about the bias the media has had against Trump since day 1. They also are talking about the corruption in the DNC. They are aware that the Democratic party sabotaged one of their own candidates (Bernie Sanders) in order to advance Hillary. I'm amazed at how much they have picked up. I was never this interested in elections or politics when I was a teen.

This was a mandate. The media tried to set the narrative, and failed. Voters came out from the heart of America and made their voices heard in the face of overwhelming opposition, bullying, awful name calling and accusations of racism and anti-woman if you support Trump, and so much more. And they went out, and they voted for him anyway.
Hillary has one path left to win. She'd have to thread a needle in a stack of needles. HUGE mistake putting a Clinton up this year.
It's mind-boggling to consider the support Hillary has gotten--from the media, from the DNC--they all tried to create their own narrative and force it upon the voters. It looks like that backfired. We were all wondering if Florida was going to have another "hanging chad"-type fiasco and save Hillary from herself, but surprisingly, that didn't happen. The public, I think, just couldn't stomach the level of corruption that Hillary brings to the table.
Don't worry about Trump having his finger on some button. It doesn't work that way. He can't push a button or input any codes on a whim. There's a lot more to it. Let's hope he has some amazing advisors.

This is unprecedented. Unprecedented. It should both scare and infuriate people that we have been told for 12 months this is all wrong no one wants him. And here we are.
American should be furious that the elite media thinks they can tell American what they are thinking and feeling or how they should think or feel. Better than finally flushing the Clintons is finally flushing the media.
Yes, the elite media has to finally face the fact that they cannot tell people what to think, how to feel, and how to vote. Right now I don't see any possible way that Hillary can pull off a win. I think, if his own party had given him a fair chance, Bernie could have defeated Trump. But they just had to make sure their golden girl was the candidate. Just desserts. If I were Bernie, I would be furious with the DNC. They threw away the election.
Oh, now the media is analyzing how "brilliant" Trump's campaign was. Um, what? Where was all this 12 months ago?
They can't be serious with the garbage. Hillary may be done after this but you know who really is done? The media. They will never, ever be trusted again. They called this so very wrong.
PA wasn't even supposed to be in play. Trump only needs to win one more of the big swing states and it's over. I'm not going to bed now.

He was here quite often. He did some last minute cramming. I guess his camp saw that this might be very important when he comes down to it. Looks like they were right.

I DO think the campaign has been brilliant and I was one of the minority saying for over a year now he was getting the nomination and had a really good chance to take it all the way. BUT the idea that the media would acknowledge that NOW when all along they've written him off as a joke, is absurd! Where were they?
I even think the Trump camp doom and gloom statements this weekend were strategic, designed to get people fired up to get out there and vote knowing they were desperately needed and it was not going to be easy to win this without a good turnout. If they played it differently, people might have stayed at home and not bothered, thinking their votes don't matter.
Trump is now about 50,000 ahead in PA. I was watching that one because PA voters are reporting that they were selecting Trump, but Clinton was the name that showed up on their screens. With 97.72% of the votes in, it looks like he has PA in the bag.
A talking head named Stephanie (no relation) said we, the Dems, didn't LISTEN to voters. And that Dems need to do some deep introspection now and figure out how this went so wrong.
How ironic that PA could very well be the next one to be called and if he gets that, he wins. Hi Kate! The best part of it all, other than flushing the Clintons once and for all, is to see what Kate does NOW. She personally knows, and spent several weeks with, our next president. He knows her, and has said nice things about her when no one else would. Like she's going to let this opportunity slip by! Oh, rubbing my hands together, can't wait to watch her grovel around with this.
This is karma for what they did to Bernie, I agree Layla. I think Bernie could have beaten Trump. This is what happens when you try to artificially control the narrative and are willing to be corrupt, cheat lie and steal to get your way. These things always come back around. Always. God bless America for saying no means no, at last.
Quote from Stephanopolis, "Pennsylvania. They could decide our next president!"
PA, what's taking so damn long? It's just simple counting!
Hillary won't concede until Trump has over 270. It's pretty much over now--she would have to make a clean sweep of all the remaining states. That's not going to happen. But she's not about to concede anything. She doesn't have the grace.
One of the talking heads on ABC compared Trump to a Somali pirate.
Huh, stumbled upon Juanita Broadrrick on twitter while browsing election tweets. She says this is vindication 30 years later and that she's crying. I do hope this helps her move on.
I find it incredibly ironic Hillary is refusing to concede this after ragging on trump for saying he's not sure he would concede. Her camp is telling people to go home she's not coming out tonight. Child. This is why she lost. She's 70 years old and will never get it.
I'm enjoying watching them with the eggs. They're not even trying to wipe it off they're just stunned. John King frantically trying to come up with one last scenario how the impossible could Happen, pinching his giant map. George S. tongue tied. Never seen anything like this. The Bernie people are like TOLD YOU.
Meanwhile Hilary's people waited all night. All night. And she can't come out and say hi thanks guys for hanging in there? Really unbelievable. Trump would have been blasted for that.
I don't think I frighten easily. There have been many difficulties in my life that ive met head on and moved through. But I can unwaveringly say that I'm terrified. We have a man in control of the house, senate and executive branch who has 50+ lawsuits outstanding. Who has shown himself to be ant-Semitic, anti-Muslim, anti-black and Latino, who judges women by their breast size. I saw this on Twitter and I think it say a lot "Every little girl in America has just been told that if you work hard, be good & make nice you still can't be president but your abuser can."
And that's all I'm going to sat on the topic ! Back to Kate!
Dmasy said... 87 ***** So well said. So well said. At the end of the day, I chose Hillary because she's the devil I know. However, I have prepared for a Trump presidency and am resolved to walk forth with faith in my county. I feel for people who are reeling this morning, and hurting. I'm happy for those who feel a renewed sense of potential for their lives and the lives of their families. This has been a painful process, and I am more drained that I can even tell you. I'm glad it's over, but it will take a little time to adjust.
Regardless of who you voted for, this election is historic and shows that every vote counts. I don't think I'll ever witness such shocking election results pouring in.

She made thousands of fans in person and millions of fans around the country wait all night, and NEVER, ever came out. It's petulant, childish, and rude. If Trump did that, he would be called a jerk. She is finally coming out in an hour after making them wait 18. That said, I feel sorry for her her dream never worked out, and I truly wish her the best and I think there are a lot of potential opportunities out there in the future where she could continue to serve. I always thought she would make a great head of this giant thing we call the Dept. of Children and Family Services out here in CA. She cares about the children, she's savvy and smart and has an aptitude for figures and stats, and has good ideas for reform in this area. ASFA was, overall, a pretty good policy push from her.
They can't be serious with the garbage. Hillary may be done after this but you know who really is done? The media. They will never, ever be trusted again. They called this so very wrong. ****** Hubris, pure hubris. The MSM did no service to Hillary when they decided to marginalize Trump and his supporters by penning nasty oped pieces by the dozens, every single day. They laughed and sneered and fiddled with Rome burned. When they did realize that their candidate was in jeopardy, it was too late.

I'm enjoying the post election analysis and head scratching how this happened and I'm not academic but I like speculating.
I think a heck of a lot of voters had ONE issue on their mind. JOBS. Nothing else mattered. Nothing else mattered. One candidate did a better job of reassuring them jobs were his priority.

And, they reassured the public it was in the bag, Hillary was going to win. And what did we see? Low Dem voter turnout. I think a lot of Dems thought well it's in the bag, and I really don't feel like sparing 20 minutes or potentially much more so, I'm not voting. So being so assured backfired big time. Honestly it reminds me of football in many ways. When my team does really well I get MORE nervous, because then I think they take smaller less able teams for granted, and that's when upsets and and do happen.
Also at the end of the day, people just don't like being talked down to like they are little children or somehow stupid or uneducated if they like Trump. That gets people to the polls quicker than scat.
A lot of pollsters are fired tomorrow morning. In fact, the entire media should be fired. All of them. And the talking heads. ******* Trump's campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, deserved a lot of credit for steering the ship in the right direction, which was like getting one of those enormous cargo ships to stop forward momentum. She was omnipresent and tireless, and made Robby Mook look ineffectual and disconnected from the pulse of America.
What a giant F-U from the heartland. November 9, 2016 at 6:45 AM ****** They were the dark horse this election and changed what our map looks like. They blew it up. Astounding. Don't forget the Rust Belt. PA, Ohio. Wow.
A few weeks back, I mentioned a poll I had seen that asked about Americans' biggest fears. By a fair margin, Americans put "corruption in their government" as number one. While all the talking heads were sitting around their elaborate sets last night asking how this could be happening, how could the polls could be so wrong, I was reminded that at least one was right. No matter how corrupt Clinton--or Trump--may or may not be, Hillary was viewed as a continuation of the Washington establishment, and virtually all of her top aides are being paid by both public institutions and private entities. This used to be called conflict of interest; when it lost that designation, I'm not sure. Trump was seen--and is--on the outside of the Washington circle jerk,, and despite all his negatives, I think that's why he squeaked it out.
It'll be interesting to see what Whoopi and Joy Behar have to say on The View. They were horrible to Trump's campaign manager when ahe was on recently.

...and that just stokes the flames that this election created. You can't run on invoking anger, hatred, and now state that everyone has to come together. Who really cares what any of these people have to say? The rich (and all the celebrities) that supported Hillary, are insulated from any absurd policy that Trump puts in place. They can all bitch and moan, but its not going to affect their daily lives.
The one thing that really astounds me - I can't understand the women that have supported him on less government intervention, BUT are perfectly willing to allow the government to determine their health, and what they can and can't do with their bodies. M a k e s N o S e n s e.
And yes, Americans wanted jobs, so they voted Trump. But you guys just got a whole lot more along with that.

Yes. She was seen as a third term for Obama and another term for Bill. It didn't work. A commentator today was asked why she lost. The answer was simple. She didn't know what was going on in this country, and all the way the way through this campaign she thought she had it made in the shade, a sense of entitlement and that she was owned this position.
Then, too, the media inadvertently was partially responsible for her defeat. The voters were, essentially, flipping the bird at the media, saying you are NOT controlling this, you will NOT tell us for whom to vote.
Has there ever, historically, been a a defeated candidate who has not given a concession speech on the night of the election? I haven't googled it.
Dmasy (#87), thanks for your thoughtful and compassionate comment.
And now for an off-topic "pivot"...Sundance TV has started airing some classic sitcoms! The lineup is MASH, All In The Family, Bob Newhart, Mary Tyler Moore, and Andy Griffith, and they show a block of episodes of each show every weekday. I don't know about the rest of the shows, but the All In The Family episodes are uncut. For anyone who has seen this show butchered in syndication over the years, this is a great opportunity to see the episodes in their original form.

I don't think most people honestly think Roe v Wade is ever going away, therefore there is no worry about voting someone who is anti-abortion. The president can't repeal that. The only thing he can do is change the makeup of the Supreme Court, but that's only if people die or resign, and it would still be nearly impossible to change it. First you need a case to actually make it up there, then you need enough to reverse it. What's more, a lot of women are perfectly fine with the government telling women they can't have an abortion, if it ever came down to that. So there's that crowd, too. In sum, a vote for Trump did not have anything to do with abortion one way or the other, for many people.
Well, Trump won, and I am terrified. But I was a bit more terrified of Hillary winning. This was a race between two horrible candidates, and our country is reeling.
What a wild night! Three of my sons stayed awake until after 3am to watch. They had mock elections in their schools, and Hillary won every one by a landslide. This is a good lesson for them, to see that the American people aren't sheep who are easily led by celebrity endorsements or the MSM.
Joy and Woopi are on The View today? I thought they would be packing by now.
I find it incredibly ironic Hillary is refusing to concede this after ragging on trump for saying he's not sure he would concede. Her camp is telling people to go home she's not coming out tonight.
...and for those who hate hypocrites, this is about as hypocritical as you can get,
I think she would be excellent in a position that involves the welfare of children. I think she'd be hard-working, dedicated, and do so much good. I wish her well.

Really don't know what to say to this. Not trying to instigate a huge discussion, but I think that's why a majority of the world doesn't understand. I guess that's what happens when religion infiltrates politics.
I don't think men would be too happy if women told them what to do with their bodies.
I may personally not choose that option, but it's not my business if someone else does.
I don't think there's a snowball's chance in hell that Trump will make a serious effort to outlaw abortion in the U.S. He paid lip service to the issue for the sake of votes, but it's nowhere near the top of his agenda.
Admin -- 'people don't like being talked down to like they are little children or somehow stupid or uneducated if they like Trump' - this is so very true. It got so old that no matter where you read or watched people were talking down to those of us that could never vote for Hillary. Most people I know are highly educated very intelligent people. They are not stupid or idiots. We have been called, on this blog as well, that voting for Trump made us equal to pond scum. I actually saw that statement. An election like this is going to be very hard on some families. My sister and her husband are strong Democrats. We are very close and I'm not worried about somehow losing her, but for a while there will be some tenseness. I will be praying for our country. I think if we can all remember that tomorrow will come, and if we have our health, our loving families -- including all those wonderful grandkids (and if you don't have any yet, you have a wonderful treat coming!), then that is enough. Trump will make lots of mistakes, all our presidents and leaders have, but I don't believe he will destroy us. I am sad for all the people who are devastated this morning.
Howard Stern (a big Clinton supporter) seems to be the voice of reason. Disclaimer, if you don't like his language, stop reading now. He said on his show this morning: "Listen, we're all going to be fine. Calm the fuck down." And "Get the fuck over it, get behind your president and support him."

The majority of the world doesn't understand that? The majority of the world actually forbids abortion on request. It IS permitted, in most countries, to save the life of the mother, and I don't have any issue with that. But a simple right to chose as we have and will continue to have, is actually not the majority of the world at all, so I don't think the majority of the world is upset America would vote Trump based just on that issue. And since Trump never indicated he would do anything at all to try to curtail abortions, other than to make some comments about late term abortions, this is much ado about nothing. I really don't think anyone was voting on that issue, it's so put to bed at this point. It was put to bed before I was even born.
I'm not thrilled Trump won, but I am ecstatic Hillary lost!!!

Darn. I so much anticipated hearing a fashion consultant's description on the designer tux that First Man William Jefferson Clinton would be wearing to the inaugural ball. Now we'll never know.
I hope Hillary did't put a big deposit on her gown.
Also, I don't think you can brush this issue off as just some cultish view from the religious. There's morality too, and I don't much care what some biblical text says, I think abortion is morally wrong. An unborn baby is a child to me, and should not be killed but for a few narrow exceptions--health of mother, non-viable baby, etc. But, I support Roe v. Wade because I have an understanding that women will do it anyway, and if they're going to do it anyway, I'd rather they be safe and in a hospital. I don't want to return to the coat hanger days. The issue is more complex.
I also fully support making all the best birth control available to everyone, cheap or free.

There's morality too, and I don't much care what some biblical text says, I think abortion is morally wrong. ****** Even as a born and raised Catholic, it really wasn't that AT ALL that most formed my opinion of aborting babies. When I was in college, I took embryology, and it changed everything I knew. What I learned about fetal development, what is happening when, at what point in time that baby has 10 fingers and 10 toes, and a beating heart, sucking a thumb... I can never unknow that now. And like Admin, I support a woman's right to choose, even though I don't agree with the decision on many levels. Yet, I know that women need to decide what's best for themselves, and sometimes for their babies, born and unborn.

I giver her that. It was not great that she left her absolutely devastated supporters hanging on for hours, only to send Podesta out to tell them to go home. Then again, I get that she wanted to be pulled together for her speech, which not for nothing, where the hell was THAT her entire campaign? Hillary seemed human and a bit fragile, which went a long way in helping everyone soften to their harsh reality. It was a really, really good speech, and I choked up if only because it would have been monumental to see a woman President. It just wasn't Hillary, but I will rejoice when that day comes, and I know it will.

I thought her speech was warm, genuine, and tragic. A dream of so many crushed in a shocking way. They were not prepared for this result. And because of it, it wasn't overly rehearsed. She truly meant every word of it, and that made all the difference. Like you said, we didn't ever see that side of her during the campaign. Had we? I don't know, maybe you might have even persuaded me.
I'd just garnish her paychecks until she pays back the government for every last cent they spent on her mess. What do you need a lawsuit for? :) ******* Ah, I'm sure Mike Huckabee will help her out. Maybe she can petition her friend in the Vatican to absolve her of her debts.

I know a young man, mid 20's who graduated college with a bachelor's degree in agricultural management and is a missionary in Africa so remote and sensitive that they can't say which country it is.
The place he is at, only had 4 Christians when he first started. He has made monumental strides in the 5 years he has been there. Has only been home, rarely in the 5 years.
Just weddings, births and Christmas each year. He is very devoted.
Got an email from him saying that all of a sudden the newly local officials have not renewed the missionaries their visas and have asked them to leave. The officials were suppose to have a meeting about the situation.
I am really afraid for him. Could you please say a prayer, good thoughts for this wonderful young man? Thank you.
Has anyone seen the Pedigree extended commercial on the news outlets? They had a nice woman scout out the Trump and Clinton recent rallies in middle America with an adorable golden retriever on a leash. She went to each gathering wearing the opposing candidate's "I support" T-shirts. She claimed the dog was lost and she was looking for the owner, etc. On each side, she was treated with complete kindness, and the willingness of strangers to help her out. Laughs and personal fur baby stories were shared all around. I seriously cried my eyes out!

Just a guess, but I bet hey'll stay there during the work week, then fly back to the New York penthouse on the weekends and work from there. It's only a couple hour flight. Baron will stay in New York and go to his same school, and his mother will stay with him.

It's water under the bridge now and not anything to dwell on, but she called his voter base deplorable. It was a bullying, nasty comment. She apologized for it, and I accept her apology, but the damage was done. People felt bullied by her, and regardless of who how or what Trump did to bully, that was it for anyone who was even considering jumping sides and voting for her. In hindsight, the idea that she actually thought, being a Clinton, she could push around people who didn't even like them in the 90's, was a huge misstep. Huge. Books will be written.
Funny, we were saying today the truth of it was Trump always was going to win. We just didn't realize it until after it happened.
I still think her speech today was the most gracious thing I've ever heard out of her mouth and made a huge difference in helping to calm people down.
Admin (#133), I'd think TFW's first priority would be to get herself tickets to the Inaugural Ball in January, sans her 8 (or 7) little albatrosses. She can buy a fancy dress and get all dolled up, and play celebrity. And after being stuck with the kids during their winter break, she'll probably be dying to get away.

Deplorable? Maybe not the swinger. I think compromising the integrity of not only our national security, but also our worldwide security is what changed things. Words are words, but this was far more than that. I can tell you from experience that classified documents typically involve more than one countries sensitive information. It's no secret. My sister and I shed tears over this today. We stood in line that day to vote for Jill separately within a mile away, having no idea the other was doing the same! An election for the books. Our husbands both voted Trump that morning.
That's the kind of race this was. I'm so glad that part is over. We each never expressed our final views until the 11TH hour. As one poster said here- "XXXX... don't ya wanna wait until after Monday to vote? I mean anything can happen in the next few days!"
Also, we didn't get any trick or treaters and I sadly think that tradition is over here in L.A. Kristine101
On a happier note, I am very much looking forward to the annual tradition here of posting our family Thanksgiving recipes. I've made the lime-green J-ello goop with pineapple, every year since I discovered this blog.

Dollars to donuts Lezza Gibbons will be on the Inaugural Ball list.

*************************************** HA!!! And you think TRUMP is tech savy?? Good Lord
You know, I hated Obama, but I prayed for him and his family. I had proper respect for him and would have never threatened to leave my country. It amazes me how the character of almost half our nation has sunk. She may be the devil you know, but I do believe Trump loves our country in a much more loyal way than Hillary ever has. The country spoke. I truly hope you Hillary supporters give Trump a chance. Our country hasn't worked well for over 8 years. Let's give this man a chance. Begin by praying for him and his advisors on a daily basis.

There was nothing like this when Obama was elected, or when other liberals get elected. Most conservatives accepted such losses with dignity, did not take to the streets or flood Facebook with whining and hyperbole, and went back to the drawing board to figure out how they were going to take back the government for the Republicans. And that's why they won this time in an absolute sweep. It's getting embarrassing, start figuring out why your lost and look to the next four years. Good Lord.
I was so looking forward to hanging out on the grassy knoll at the LAX In and Out, chomping down on my double double cheeseburger and waving off all the celebrities as they leave the country. Of course none of them are now. What country pray tell were they going to go to anyway? Unlike us, most countries, ESPECIALLY Canada, don't just let you in on anything more than a 3 month tourism visa. Good luck with that one!
An overwhelming number of women voted for Trump. Yet another thing the media got flat out wrong, was so gleefully shaming the "minority" of women who were going to vote for Trump.

This is such inflammatory BS. Trump didn't ask for their endorsement nor did he ever mention it. The KKK, the gays, the deplorable and the nasty's all get to choose who they support. Move on.
Um, the KK always endorses Republicans. They can't stop them for doing it. The KKK endorsed Ronald Reagan and George Bush, too, of course that is never reported. It is each nominees' choice whether they want to ignore such nonsense or tell them to kiss off. I would choose ignore, it's not worth it. I can find some fringe freak groups who endorsed Hillary too, but what does that prove?
The anti Trump crowd keeps saying things like this, seemingly without acknowledging this kind of rhetoric played a direct role in Trump getting elected. Americans KNEW it was rhetoric, saw through it, and what's more, lost complete trust in the other side to tell them the truth. Every time someone said "the KKK endorsed Trump!" that was actually a vote FOR Trump, not against. What's fascinating, is they continue to say garbage like this, even though it lost them the election. Fascinating.

After all the flying around Trump has done in his luxurious private plane, he will probably be the first president in history to consider Air Force One a 'step down'.
The President of the US can't just do ANYTHING he wants unchecked. Congress and the Senate have to approve a lot. The most power the POTUS has is with foreign policy.
That's my understanding. Correct me if I'm wrong...
I don't think anyone controlled Trump's tweets aside from Trump himself. He can tweet or do whatever he wants as Donald Trump, and deal with the consequences.
As President it won't be the same for him.
The President can't take away the rights of Americans, rights that they have under the Constitution, all on his own. I don't see Trump changing or adding any amendments... Free speech, freedom of religion, etc. Why do people feel the President can do anything he wants unchecked?
I don't know, maybe he can make changes when it comes to freedom of religion, if there are terrorist ties. Maybe that will be a change Congress approves.
Building a wall? Can he do that on his own without approval? I guess if Trump can be a wacko so can people in Congress.
As far as what he can do as President on a personal level, like harassing female employees, and intimidating women not to speak up, that's another issue. Presidents have always gotten away with stuff like that.
I don't really understand how someone can "hate" Obama. But I saw disgusting things said about him on a daily basis from the day he was elected, so much so that I was concerned for his life. Conservatives aren't naturally fair minded and liberals aren't naturally ass holes. The only thing positive thing I can take from this election is that I might not hear "killary" and "libtard" and worse for the next four years. I hope some of the things Donald said were just to get elected and he doesn't follow through on them. On a religious blog I follow a reader said someone should put a bullet through Hillary's head and not one person responded with outrage. That reader just got a lot of thumbs up. I'm Canadian so an interest in American politics isn't just a fascination, it does affect our population as well. I worry for the environment; pipelines, fracking and reduced environmental protections could lead to disaster.

I've never been on either plane, but I can't imagine Air Force One is like a trip on a lowly U Crash It airlines!
Hope everyone can see this photo.I found this on a facebook post someone on my friend's list posted. If you can see it then i have to comment on this.Sorry im in no ways a trump supporter but i doubt this guy's story of him claiming that these kindergarteners were harassing this Hispanic kid and saying they voted for Trump and teasing him that he'll have to go to another school in Mexico. What kind of Kindergarteners are into politics? https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Cw11fE6UsAAsx7o.jpg:large
BTW since the picture clearly was a facebook post,i looked up Julio Puentes on facebook and it said he doesn't exist. So whoever the person who originally posted this was is lying.
My point was his own advisors and party can not rein in him on something as simple as inflammatory tweets, do you think now that this delusional raging bullying narcopath has more power, he's going to listen to sound advice? ****
Where? I feel like things have been relatively quiet with him in office. There was no major security threats to him beyond what any other president has faced, no assassination attempt, no huge protests against him or KKK rallies. Actually quite the opposite, lots of protests in SUPPORT of African Americans and against whites. This country has been extraordinary in their respect and dignity they have allowed him. For even most people who don't like his politics, I almost always hear, but I respect him as a person and father. I just can't get behind this picture of America against Obama for eight years. It's just not the case. Yet here we are two days out from the election and the hate and whining and refusal to respect Trump as our next president elect, is downright shameful.
Why do people feel the President can do anything he wants unchecked?
Because the president-elect was acting like that.
He seemed to think he was running for dictator, not President. Announcing that he was going to this, and do that, unchecked by anyone or anything.
Things that he couldn't just 'do' just because he wants to.
I'm not sure that he comprehends what a democracy is. I'm not sure that he gets that he was elected President of the USA, not CEO with no board of directors or stockholders.
He seemed to think he was running for dictator, not President. Announcing that he was going to this, and do that, unchecked by anyone or anything.

&&&&
Or maybe they think the president can do anything he wants because Obama issues executive orders all the time bypassing checks and balances. Some of which really ticked off our Supreme Court. I mean, let's be fair.
I also assume when a candidate says I'm going to do this, they mean, through our system of government. Hillary said all kinds of things she was going to do too, and never mentioned checks and balances. Yet that's all fine for her to say without question. The thing is, I assume most Americans remember 5th grade civics and understand checks and balances. I didn't find either candidate's blanket statements about what they are going to do anything different than any other candidate promises before. I found the media's anti-Trump spin, however, unbelievably inappropriate and unprecedented. The hyperbole about Hitler is just silly. Time to stop, because that kind of alarmist rhetoric got Americans fed up with the implications to his supporters, and got them even more determined to get him elected. No one likes to be called a Nazi supporter, which is why they said F-U and voted for him.
Yet here we are two days out from the election and the hate and whining and refusal to respect Trump as our next president elect, is downright shameful. ****** The irony is that the fear mongering about Trump's 2nd Amendmenters and militias shooting up the streets and gunning down Hillary had people losing their ever-loving minds. Now, here we have angry mobs taking to the streets, lighting bon fires, burning our flag and burning our POTUS-elect in effigy. It is sickening. Just sickening. This is not what you do when you don't get your way. Many people are feeling things-from trepidation to abject fear and anger-right about now. Hillary and Obama have asked the people who've loved and supported them, to accept the results of the election and have hope, and an open mind with Trump. Do they honor? No. Do they "go high"? No. It's embarrassing as an American to see these snowflakes lose their ever loving shit when they didn't get their way. Grow the F up. I voted for Hillary (the devil I knew and all that) and I was in total shock watching the election results. I know that I can look and focus upon Trump's positives and pray for him, that the Holy Spirit will guide him and that he will find his way to be a good, even great, man, leader and President. I do feel deeply for all the people who have sweated blood and tears for Hillary, but they lose me when they carry on like crazy idiots, and shame our country's proud tradition of the peaceful transition of power. It is one of the things that separates us from less fortunate countries in the world, where people would give a kidney just to be an American.

I can acknowledge when the other side does well, and both Hillary and Obama have handled this loss with dignity, using up most of their time to try to calm and encourage the American people. Of course, the people didn't listen.
Did anyone watch a Hillary rally from a few days ago? There was a vet and Trump supporter there, and the crowd was out for absolute blood. Obama practically had to yell and scream at them to knock it off, he has every right to express his opinion because this is what democracy is.
That side has done everything they claim the Trump supporters do. I don't want to hear a single thing more about how violent and out of control the Trump crowd is. That crowd is exactly, exactly the same. Talk about pot calling the kettle black. I have no respect for that kind of thing from any side, but if I hear one more time how much worse the Trump folks are, I'm going to tear my hair out. They're not worse. They're not better. They're all, the unreasonable ones anyway, an angry immature mob. Flip a coin what side you're on because it doesn't matter.

Apparently Trump and Obama had a wonderful meeting this morning. It was supposed to be 15 minutes and went on 90. They both went out and said wonderful things about each other. Trump says he can't wait to go to Obama for counsel. LOL, all the alarmist, all the rhetorical, all the hate, and they love each.
The next Bill Clinton and George Bush/Odd Couple???
Well then SNL and all the late night talk shows better just close shop ******** What SNL does is satire. Scathing comedy, even. Further, beyond the edge of the envelope at times, and they are really, really good at it. It's been done from time immemorial. And her's the big difference. What SNL does is meant to diffuse tension and conflict, not incite it.
The Obamas and Bush 43-s are very close, too. They've done wonderful things together. A club so elite, such at the POTUSs, can make very strange bedfellows.
Will he deport illegal immigrants? ***** "Illegal" being the key word here. We get it Vanessa. Your candidate didn't win. I think the SNL skits are funny (as will be South Park) but I fail to see the humor in the protests and the burning of the American flag during those protests.

But, you bet your sweet bipsy, `Ol FW and Steve would take a picture of them bouncing on the bd like a trampoline!

What? There have not been such comments here. I wouldn't have published them. Disagreement and discussion is permitted and appropriate and even encouraged. Inciting violence is not. I'm talking about the violent protests and refusal to accept what happened. Not the people who, while they disagree with the result, are grown ups and still encouraging acceptance and open mindedness. Obama and Hillary have blown me away with their grace.

I totally agree that they all say those kinds of general, political things to try to get elected. I have no problems with any candidate saying those things.
I think that there's a tacit understanding there that democratic procedures will be followed.
They're generalities, subject to the checks and balances of a democratic government. Maybe it'll happen, maybe it won't.
You belong in jail and I'm going to see to it that it happens doesn't fall into that same category, imo. It's a very personal vendetta against someone and not a generality. It's the language of a man who thinks he won't be accountable to anyone. IMO
I, too, hope that Trump doesn't make it his mission to continue pursuing charging Hillary. This fate-losing the Presidency- is punishment enough. If people think the Clintons have used their political dynasty to get rich, to scheme, to lie and to grant access, that is OVER. Whatever they've done, they've done. The Clintons might continue with their charity, and I hope they do. But their days of power in Washington D.C. have come to an end. I hope Bill and Hillary can continue to focus on furthering the good works they've done.
My personal opinion is that the president-elect was just running at the mouth during the campaign, and didn't really mean *any* of it. It was all just something to talk big about.
Kind of like the 'grabbing them by the pussy' thing. Not something he actually did, or even intended to do (probably?). All talk, no show.
My personal opinion is that the president-elect was just running at the mouth during the campaign, and didn't really mean *any* of it. It was all just something to talk big about.

That could be true. I think he is smart, and could very well have played up all kinds of rhetoric knowing it would get his foot in the door with the red states. I think he knew all along he could and would win when no one else did.
The second he was elected, he immediately calmed down, and he's been completely rational and reserved for two days straight. Apparently, Obama absolutely enjoyed his meeting with him today and they're moving forward as partners. The stock market is loving him--almost a record high yesterday. A record high today.
Vanessa, I know how you're feeling. I felt the same in 1992 after Clinton was elected and the feeling lasted 8 long years.
The thought of them ending up back in the White House threw me into depression.
But I couldn't vote for Trump either. To quote WikiLeak's Julian Assange, "Choosing between Trump or Clinton is like picking between cholera or gonorrhea... Personally, I would prefer neither."
Mel said... 183 My personal opinion is that the president-elect was just running at the mouth during the campaign, and didn't really mean *any* of it. It was all just something to talk big about.
******* I've heard this several times, and I think it's so very true. People who don't like Trump take him literally, but not seriously. People who like him take Trump seriously, but not literally.
The media are in the business of words, vocabulary, syntax and grammar. The public understands inflection, tone, turns of phrase and vernacular. This is but one of the reasons he media has been such a big part of our problem when it comes to politics.
Trump is hardly the first to suggest that Hillary's actions with her email should land her in jail. It's not like he was saying you used too much TP in the Senate restroom and should go to jail. Many people provided specific examples of people sitting in jail for similar or identical acts. Yes, you do go to jail for acts like that. I'm not sure why that's Trump's fault for stating the truth.
That said, I think Obama should pardon her and let her move on with her life and do something good with what's left, and that Trump should move on from it too. Has he mentioned the email server since elected? Seems like he's not really harping on it now that he's won.
All I hope for regarding Hillary Clinton at this point is that any continuing investigation into her actions and the actions of her advisors is independent of any political influence.
I don't want Trump to carry out a personal vendetta against Hillary using the FBI, the IRS, or any other government agency. On the other hand I also don't want to see Hillary walk away scot-free if the accusations against her of using the Clinton Foundation as a way to get foreign governments to pay-to-play for access and influence during her time as a senator and Secretary of State turn out to be true.
Let the FBI and the IRS do their job. Trump needs to make sure he doesn't influence any investigation and Obama shouldn't give Clinton a preemptory blanket pardon. The truth should determine the consequences.
Whatever they've done, they've done. The Clintons might continue with their charity, and I hope they do. But their days of power in Washington D.C. have come to an end. I hope Bill and Hillary can continue to focus on furthering the good works they've done.

But Tucker's, all of those long years she has spent grooming herself to be the first woman President, and standing by her man through the sex scandals, don't you feel just a tiny bit sorry for her now that it's all come to an end? It was her ambition to become President, her passion, and that's all gone now. Can she move on?
"WikiLeaks: Email Shows Bill Clinton Had 2016 Race All Figured Out This past February, a New York Times reporter contacted the Hillary Clinton campaign to see how Hillary, Bill and other Democrats "regard Trump as a potential election opponent."
The email exchange is particularly interesting in light of Tuesday's election results.
Reporter Patrick Healy told the Clinton campaign, "I wanted to run some points by you about President Clinton, based on our reporting with allies and campaign advisers and other Dems who have spoken to him."
Among those points, Healy wrote: "We're told that President Clinton, like Secretary Clinton and some others, think Trump could pose a real threat in battleground states that President Obama carried in 2008 and 2012 -- like Virginia and Ohio -- and he will be competitive in Florida, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin."
As it turns out, Trump won at least four of those six states, giving him the victory that Clinton believed was hers.
Healy also asked the Clinton campaign in that February email: "We're told that President Clinton (like Mrs. Clinton and some other Dems) thinks that Trump would be a formidable opponent in the general election, and that Dems are in a form of denial if they dismiss Trump as a joke who would be easily defeated in November. President Clinton, like others, thinks that Trump has his finger on the pulse of the electorate's mood and that only a well-financed, concerted campaign portray(ing) him as dangerous and bigoted will win what both Clintons believe will be a close November election."
In response to Healy's inquiries, Christina Reynolds, a member of the Clinton campaign, said she thought Healy's "first point" about Trump being a "formidable opponent" was "OK". But, she added, "don't love pointing to states where we think he’ll do well, unless that’s just a total done deal.""
But Tucker's, all of those long years she has spent grooming herself to be the first woman President, and standing by her man through the sex scandals, don't you feel just a tiny bit sorry for her now that it's all come to an end? Right in her grasp, and then POOF!, around 9-10pm on Tuesday night, that ship just sailed away. I can't imagine the grief she and her team are feeling right now. Even if you were one of the "Make America Great Again" Trump voters, you had to have been just as shocked to see and hear state after state called for Trump. When they called Ohio, I gasped out loud. OMG, this is happening!

I live in the South with a lot of religious conservatives, and I've seen plenty of awful things about Obama on Facebook while he was President. In my opinion, they voted for Trump because of hate for Hillary and not because of how great Trump is.

You didn't ask me, but I'd like to say, NO, I do not feel sorry for her. She has had as amazing a career as any prominent individual of any time in history, man or woman. She has worked hard and has much to show for it. Out of office, she's been able to capitalize on her experience to turn public service into mega-bucks. The only thing I wish she had done differently is divorce her husband. It's been clear for many years that the relationship, probably from both sides, has been based on what looks like cold-blooded pragmatism, with the "close-knit family" aspect only being trotted out for the cameras and sound-bites. I think she would have garnered more respect had she set out on her own after they left the White House. I know I would have viewed her quite differently. Her mistake was thinking she needed Bill to help her shatter the glass ceiling. I think he and his shadow prevented her from doing so.
Nothing really new to us. It says her show will be back in Jan. so their source isn't accurate. Also said Collin has been away since May. I hadn't heard that before unless I missed it somewhere.

errington_bound Wow the tabloids are having a field day over these unproven child abuse allegations.
A secret service agent said that at the White House he would say good morning to ole Hill and she would respond "F$$$ off!"
There's something terribly human about that, lol. When you're just over it.
If Hillary wins, about the smartest thing she could do would be to divorce ole Bill tout de suite. Otherwise, there will forever be a question about who's really running the ship. With all that's come about about the Foundation and CGI and Teneo, I think she's really got to put some distance between her and them.

To all of you who vote today, or who have already voted, I wish you the best possible outcome for you, your families and for your country.

Admin says:A secret service agent said that at the White House he would say good morning to ole Hill and she would respond "F$$$ off!"
Well, at least she didn't say she could grab them by the p***y!
Hooray!

She also replied to a comment by someone who wrote "TRUMP" with a thumbs up, so I guess she is officially endorsing her old "boss"....

How could any decent Mom (or network
-shame on TLC) not be outraged by that??

Trump is way more than just a political idiot. If you say Clinton is corrupt there's no way you can't say Trump is as well.
-----
Ugh, I'm sick of people hating on Obamacare.
&&&&

Well, you'd have to have a wider swath of data directly from Americans to say that.
I was *supposed to* keep my health coverage and I was *supposed to* keep my primary care doctor.

We went early with the before-work crowd. It took about 25 minutes total. No biggie because the line kept moving. The process once inside took a matter of minutes.
Got my sticker!

&&&&&&&&&&&&&

Lots of corrupt people never spend a day in jail so I'm not sure what that proves. Look at Kate. She's teflon.

******
Exactly.

Not to sure where I read this...Donald Trump does not know how to use a computer, that's why he is always on twitter. Make sense?
Admin,
We're watching the results on CNN and also watching online.

Admin,
It's been interesting listening to my boys talk about the bias the media has had against Trump since day 1.

Whose nails are bitten down to the quick?
They're comparing this to Brexit left and right, a one-two punch from America's heartland.

Whose nails are bitten down to the quick?

What nails? There's nothing left.
I'm watching PA. The lead just goes back and forth. I've never seen anything like this.

Tump took PA
Now that they've called pa can they please call this? I'd like to go to bed at some point.
Books will be written about the past 18 months.
CNN called him Teflon Trump. Hey! We shoulda copyrighted that!
It's over. G'night!
Wow............just wow.
Good news - the Canadian dollar is going to surge tomorrow, so I'm happy for my trip down south in March. Thanks America!
The media has egg all over its face, and it's not sunny side up!
I'm enjoying watching them with the eggs. They're not even trying to wipe it off they're just stunned. John King frantically trying to come up with one last scenario how the impossible could
Happen, pinching his giant map. George S. tongue tied. Never seen anything like this. The Bernie people are like TOLD YOU.
Meanwhile Hilary's people waited all night. All night. And she can't come out and say hi thanks guys for hanging in there? Really unbelievable. Trump would have been blasted for that.
We knew that 1/2 of our country would wake up this morning filled with pain and disappointment. We didn't know which half it would be.
I think that a fair percentage of the "winners" in this election have apprehension and worry.
This is a over whelming time with the House and the Senate controlled by the same party as the President.
We have all learned facts about the constitution that we didn't know before this turbulent election cycle.
We will all be able to use the phrase, "in my lifetime" -- all of us, whichever candidate we voted for.
I ache for those who were faithful supporters of Hillary. I fear for our passionately divided country.
I pray that violence does not fill the transition phase.
Let's hold virtual hands and make decisions together that will improve the country that we live in.

******
Hubris, pure hubris. The MSM did no service to Hillary when they decided to marginalize Trump and his supporters by penning nasty oped pieces by the dozens, every single day.
They laughed and sneered and fiddled with Rome burned.
When they did realize that their candidate was in jeopardy, it was too late.
I've said for a very long time that Trump didn't happen in a vacuum. The hatred of Trump supporters, replete with a constant barrage of name calling, sneering, parodying and generally dismissing as deplorable and irredeemable only served to galvanize them and strengthen their resolve.
&&&&

What a giant F-U from the heartland.
A lot of pollsters are fired tomorrow morning. In fact, the entire media should be fired. All of them. And the talking heads.

Trump's campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, deserved a lot of credit for steering the ship in the right direction, which was like getting one of those enormous cargo ships to stop forward momentum.
She was omnipresent and tireless, and made Robby Mook look ineffectual and disconnected from the pulse of America.

Hillary was viewed as a continuation of the Washington establishment, and virtually all of her top aides are being paid by both public institutions and private entities.
----------------
Did Admin really call HC childish or am I seeing things? Trump bullied Clinton, threatened her with jail, tried to incite violence against her ... give HC a break.

Why? I was just thinking about that this morning, all of the ads that were vile, nasty, and downright bullying Trump, maybe not to his face, but the ads were horrible. Neither side was cordial to the other, but that's the nature of the political machine. Hillary's hands, as far as bullying, were anything but clean.

I don't think men would be too happy if women told them what to do with their bodies.

Even as a born and raised Catholic, it really wasn't that AT ALL that most formed my opinion of aborting babies.

At least Hillary called Trump to concede, making it possible and p.c. for him to address his waiting crowd.

I thought her speech was warm, genuine, and tragic. A dream of so many crushed in a shocking way. They were not prepared for this result. And because of it, it wasn't overly rehearsed.

Our sitting president needs to have more than an elementary understanding of technology. And it would help if they wouldn't stubbornly refuse to learn, use and accept the wonderful technology we have in place to keep our secrets safe. This is SCARY.

Unlike us, most countries, ESPECIALLY Canada, don't just let you in on anything more than a 3 month tourism visa. Good luck with that one!

After all the flying around Trump has done in his luxurious private plane, he will probably be the first president in history to consider Air Force One a 'step down'.
-------------------------
I've never been on either plane, but I can't imagine Air Force One is like a trip on a lowly U Crash It airlines!
Or even simple instructions? The guy does what he wants, as all narcissist do

Welp, he must know something we all don't know, because he got himself elected despite ignoring lots of advice.
Hitler also got elected
I don't really understand how someone can "hate" Obama. But I saw disgusting things said about him on a daily basis from the day he was elected
****

&&&&

The irony is that the fear mongering about Trump's 2nd Amendmenters and militias shooting up the streets and gunning down Hillary had people losing their ever-loving minds.

Well then SNL and all the late night talk shows better just close shop
Apparently Trump and Obama had a wonderful meeting this morning. It was supposed to be 15 minutes and went on 90. They both went out and said wonderful things about each other. Trump says he can't wait to go to Obama for counsel. LOL, all the alarmist, all the rhetorical, all the hate, and they love each.
The next Bill Clinton and George Bush/Odd Couple???
Well then SNL and all the late night talk shows better just close shop

What SNL does is satire.

"Illegal" being the key word here. We get it Vanessa. Your candidate didn't win. I think the SNL skits are funny (as will be South Park) but I fail to see the humor in the protests and the burning of the American flag during those protests.

I haven't been a Trump fan but I hope now that he has been elected people will respect the fact he is President-elect and wish him well.
It was disgusting to see the protesters in N.Y. hanging effigies of him.

We've been played, brilliantly.

I've heard this several times, and I think it's so very true.

Interesting...
"WikiLeaks: Email Shows Bill Clinton Had 2016 Race All Figured Out
This past February, a New York Times reporter contacted the Hillary Clinton campaign to see how Hillary, Bill and other Democrats "regard Trump as a potential election opponent."
Oh, I think Hillary has had her eye on the White House for decades, and every move done to line her up for the position. She has to be CRUSHED, because it was soooooo close.
