OF COURSE SHE DID! I expected that. She is as shallow as anything on this earth.... AND she is not really looking for a date, a love interest.
I watched a little of a rerun last night and this show is just a platform for her to spew her twisted view of HER life... did you hear her say she'd been burned by friends, family and was very 'cautious' - she can't let anyone in because they will hurt HER.
HER life is all about HER. She does not have the capacity to think of others. Not one bit.
If she truly is bonking purseboy he must be a weirdo too, for she cannot love him or trust him because, as she says, she has been so broken and burned by everyone.
Poor HER.
I get so angry just thinking about her... it may be time for me to take another break - been back three days and that's all I can take.
I don't have to wish her poorly because she is her own worst enemy - I'm pretty sure she has a miserable life.
I say.... excellent! She deserves it.
For my recap, does anyone remember where that tabloid story is about Kate's high school boyfriend she lived with? Or anything about her high school dating? I know this was discussed extensively some years back, but I can't find it anywhere.
You must not have been paying attention on sets oh great Hollywood insider, because there are plenty of jobs on set outside of directing and producing that don't involve heavy lifting.
&&&
You must not have been reading or paying attention either. To get to those "better" jobs on sets, you don't just walk in and start on those jobs. You lift things and shovel things first.
If Hollywood wants to change, they need to change how you "work your way up" so that more women don't have to do backbreaking work before they can become a script supervisor and sit in a chair.
From the TLC K8 FB page:

Huh? They're calling it an "early premiere." Is this normal?

The entire episode? Does that not air until next week? That's very odd.
There is nothing wrong with choosing a career that entails manual labor and your claim that women will "never" do it is patently false. Just because you're too much of an elitist to stoop to manual labor doesn't mean that all women share your snobbery.
&&&
You know nothing about me. I did manual labor at Kodak and at a restaurant. I had to wear steel-toed shoes. I'm not against manual labor. I was also in my 20's, young, strong, and at my peek of fitness. I also can't lift nearly as much as a man can. Couldn't then, couldn't now.
The problem with society today is they refuse to acknowledge, and embrace, gender differences. Men are stronger. Men don't mind lifting things as much as women do. Women are more prone to injury in their hips and knees, and ankles and ACL (scientifically proven) due to BIOLOGICAL differences. There is also that problem of many women getting PREGNANT during the prime of their career, so if you built your entire job around lifting things around on sets, you have to stop earlier due to a pregnancy than you would have to stop in a sit down job, where you can work almost until your due date absent any other issues. Since the current laws do not pay you for stopping your lifting job early due to a pregnancy, you're SOL. Therefore, sets are always, always going to be mostly men, no matter how hard the far left wants it to be 50-50 men and women. How come nobody ever says we need more male teachers, that teaching should be 50-50? Hypocritical.
Why is she subjecting Cara and Mady to public scrutiny when they are about to embark on a new chapter of their lives? People who don't know them from previous shows, will get their impressions from this show. Going by it, Mady is a complete, disrespectful, arrogant brat. And poor Cara...not speaking and seeming spaced out gives the impression she is socially awkward or has something wrong with her. Why would she be on a television show and not speak?? That is just bizarre.
Adam Miller was the guy Kate dated before she met Jon.

Kate’s boyfriend was talked about in Robert Hoffman’s book
Releasing an episode almost a week early is just bizarre. Maybe they're hoping to get people more involved in the show (?). But it seems like people could watch elsewhere and then not watch when it's on TV. I don't think TLC has ever done anything like this before. Then again, I can't remember TLC ever having a show premier to such low ratings. They must be desperate. Serves them right for throwing one opportunity after another to that self-absorbed narcissist. How could they ever have thought this show would be a success? She couldn't pull off decent ratings even with the kids. It has to be fulfilling a contract, I can't think of any other reason. Finishing off the contracted episodes for that last "season". And it still took them 2 years to do it.
I wonder if they thought a dating show would be irresistible to the "haters". There's not enough fans left to get decent ratings so they came up with something so in-your-face obnoxious that non-fans can't help but watch. Hate-watching, if you will. If so, they were sorely mistaken. I bet some heads are rolling at Discovery HQ right now. Who green-lighted this disaster? How much money was wasted? Discovery HQ is right down the road from me, in Silver Spring. Sooo close. Oh, to be a fly on the wall...
I recall reading about some one season or half season tv shows that get cancelled but the final episodes get switched to the online platform. can't recall any names right now. and usually networks might make one episode available online early, too get interest up in a show. Unusual to see second episode Online Now!
TLC trying to see if there is an online audience?
I'm a Big Brother fan. the actual tv episodes got ok ratings, but there was a BIG online audience willing to pay a subscription fee to have access to 24/7 live feeds from the Big Brother house, THAT interest kept the show on the summer schedule!
TFMJG is boring compared to 24/7 live feeds, temperamental divas having arguments (on every Real Housewife show ever!), entertaining and vicious snarky snark, the house full of bachelors having fights on Bachelorette, and on and on.
The reality ship has sailed and left behind TFMJG whose highest ratings came from her marriage breaking up on TV! its really sad if you think about it. But TFMJG did it to herself, so only sad for the children's lives she damaged.

Here is a link to a disastrous show that I remembered was canceled mid-way through due to low ratings. FOX channel.

Because it was a "cliffhanger" (?!) the remaining episodes were on line.
Can happen.

-------------
This seems like TLC is trying to find out on their own, rather than rely on ratings, how much interest there is in the show.
They also seem to be testing the waters whether it's better to air the show online instead of on their TV channel. That way, they don't have to worry about committing a time slot to air the show.
Also, it was interesting that TLC posted the first episode on Youtube without requiring you to pay a fee in order to watch, as they have done for previous episodes of Kate plus 8.
Seems like TLC know this show is a disaster and they want to get it over and done with.
Droning on and on about gender differences won't change the fact that your initial claim that women will NEVER do manual labor was complete bullshit. And having worn steel toed shoes in your distant past won't change your obnoxious comment about grips.

What is your explanation for why women haven't broken into the production business? And don't say it's because it's "male dominated" because women have had no problem in recent years breaking into many other fields and even dominating them, including medicine, the law, and financial services. Of course none of those fields require heavy lifting by pregnant people.
A person on another site said they didn't believe Kate was an abuser. According to them, there's no physical proof, and Mady would say something about it.
I realize many people haven't followed Kate's story closely. They don't realize Mady could be loyal to her mother or she could be bribed or brainwashed.
&&&&
These people know nothing about how child abuse works and don't realize the MAJORITY of kids have the instinct to protect their parents and not rat out abuse and it's completely common for a kid to believe they have wonderful parents when they really don't.
