It is shocking to me that her "fans" still think Kate cares about them. She could have posted a beautiful instagram photo of her trees in full autumn foliage...quite beautiful in Pennsylvania. Or something. But she does NOTHING unless she is trying to get people to watch her show. I heard her say this past summer that she likes to be filmed cooking dinner. But Cara said she never cooks dinner. No camera, no dinner I guess. She is obsessed and it is a scary situation for her children. M.
Kelsey O. (#199), your comment just made my heart sink. I never did read TFW's letter to C -- only read excerpts of it from our posters. What stuck out to me as heinous was that she told him he was "hard to love." But, holy cow, I didn't realize she told him she'd never leave him. Monster.
Time to get a normal job Kate-you’ve provided nothing for these kids. They’ve provided it ALL for You! https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7555649/amp/Jon-Gosselin-rips-greedy-Kate-TLC-defying-court-ban-filming-children.html
Saw a post from a friend of the twins ,that Cara is in town for thanksgiving . The picture that was posted shows Cara enjoying herself with a large group of her hometown friends.. I’m happy that she is not allowing Kate to guilt her with her neediness and isn’t spending all her time hanging around the Gosselin orphanage Gigi Be
Gigi Be (#5), TFW is in for the shock of her life when she finally realizes she can no longer control her children's contact with the outside world. I suspect that's part of why she dumped C: she knew he was able to disclose information about his dysfunctional household, and that was an unforgivable sin to her.
Collin posted on instagram how thankful he is for his family and all those who have helped him. I am glad he has some love and even like in his life now. Mother is such a hateful self centered jerk.
&&&&
He's such a beautiful young man that Kate doesn't deserve.
So sad in her letter to C in her book she wrote she would never leave him.
&&&
To that I say why would a parent even consider "leaving" their child as in the realm of possibilities? It really shows a lot of insight into her values as a parent, in that if a child is too much one might simply leave them. Collin probably sensed that long before he was ever abandoned. It may have even been an act of self sabotage, just to get the "leaving" over with sooner rather than later.
She probably locked him away so he wouldn’t squeal on her... does it get any sicker than that?? Narcs have no empathy and the love she claims to have is from a fake person with a mask on...A narc is very manipulative and they get power from lying. She doesn’t know what love is. They will treat you like shit if you don’t fill their void with compliance. And discard you when they are finished with you even their own child. Unfortunately I know about this all too well... it’s all about what you can do for them... you are always disposable.. they will use you and abuse you and make you the scapegoat. It’s evident she discards people. She disposed of her whole family... my husband just left us for dead out of the blue.. no warning. He said he had to think about himself now?!? So I was left with 4 kids.. these people are sick and twisted and are evil.. no empathy. That’s why it didn’t bother her to abandon her child.. she’s mentally ill.. ask yourself what normal thinking person would do something so horrific. And yes everything is about them constantly.. it’s exhausting ... they cannot regulate their own emotions hence the anger and the abuse. Emotionally and physically.. they will use blame because it’s everybody’s else fault don’t you know.. I think those kids are more screwed up than we think
Admin (#9), it reminds me of an early episode when TFW said, "Never give up on Mady." She was a little girl of maybe 8 or 9. Who the heck said they might give up on her?
XXXXX As someone who has ADHD I am so disgusted by the way you treated Colin and Hannah. Collin needed his father and you sent him to a treatment center for 3 years, that boy has been through so much and you don’t give a fuck. I’ve been sent away for other issues but my parents supported me each step. I can’t even imagine how he felt when his own mother lied to the world about the events. I am so happy that Collin and Hannah are with Jon and he finally gets to speak. Shame on you #teamjon
kat.poo.9250 @XXXXX You realize that Kate has not gone into detail about this private matter with Colin, but Jon has wanted the attention concerning Colin's issue. He will stop at nothing to get back at Kate..and Colin is the golden ticket. He is trying to look like the hero. Dr Oz looked puzzled when Jon told him the treatment for Colin. I don't think Jon should be taken seriously. ______
So is this Kate? Yes, there is a reason why Kate gave no "detail" except for plodding, and chugging, and "making him the best C he can be"! She hadn't yet been able to concoct anything believable. But she was relieved of her "problem" when her sympathetic fans bought into her line of BS pretty much as soon as she spewed it. That must have been a real "Whew!" moment for her.
And speaking of "golden tickets," Collin was one of Kate's for close to 10 years on TV, so if that's the reason Jon is speaking out (and oh, BTW, it isn't), then why do you have a problem with it? Is only Kate allowed to sell her kids to whichever bidder is interested? After all, she sold them to a TV network for the majority of their childhoods.
These are the sort of comments that really make me wonder.
Sad but true (#12), interesting that the "fan" (*waves to TFW*) said Jon is "trying to look like the hero." Seems to me when one parent BLOWS OFF HER SON'S CUSTODY HEARING and the other one shows up and claims him, it's pretty effing easy to identify which parent is the hero.
And who can forget how TFW monetized her son's removal from the home he helped pay for with a PAID photo shoot for People?

It is easy to look like the hero when the other parent is Kate.
The thing is, KATE DIDN'T WANT COLLIN. She didn't! So the other parent stepping up and getting custody of him is trying to be a hero? Oh stuff it where the sun don't shine.

And make no mistake, kids are listening to such comments and processing and filing away. Repeated inappropriate comments from parents can and does do long term emotional harm.
OT Kindle users--question. I bought Robert Hoffman's first book before he had to take stuff out of it. I haven't looked at it on Kindle for quite a while. Today I did and it says it can't be opened and to remove and reload it.
How can I reload if it was pulled off Amazon?? If it was free I wouldn't care but I did pay the 8.88 for it!
OT Nevermind, I found the way to get the book reloaded. I hated to lose that one with all the details that were removed due to Robert going to court. I wish I could have got a paperback of that one to keep.
OT kindle again. Unfortunately I lost the images that were in it of the things that were a copyright issue and made Amazon pull the first book immediately. (tax, contracts, photos) The images were there for a long time. I am hoping something will make them reappear somehow.
I find it very, very telling that since Kate can no longer be the single one to control the narrative nor its direction nor the one to be the one to constantly set the record straight: not a peep. As the contrast to when she was the sole one to do so she was all over the place and the one to be willing to be all over the place.
I also ponder if she will perhaps go so silent when and if her children start talking. I just find it very telling that she's retreated so much.
I think it has more to do with not so much she's not willing to go out there and spin it to suit her needs I think it's more likely that TLC isn't backing her as much anymore. Hard to not go out there and spin yourself is you don't have the financial backing. Otherwise I'm quite sure she'd gladly run her mouth till the cows came home.
I'm hope everyone had a great holiday! My husband and I just booked our tickets to Europe. Look Kate, average folk who saved up to go to Europe. One of our kids and their three children our grandchildren decided to join us for a bit of the trip for a week. I guess average people like myself must still be mediocre to afford a month in Europe. Tsk tsk tsk. But we earned it the old way, hard work.
Blue jay-i think tfw would be running her mouth on any TV set that would have her-to set the record straight. But i believe she can no longer dictate the narrative and she will not answer the tough questions that any interviewer will want to ask her now that Jon has exposed the truth. I believe that’s why she hasn’t done any interviews. She said she wants the truth about her family to be told-which in katespeak means Tlc backing her with any lies she wants out out there as truth. And how awesome for you to go to Europe!!
I've just been reading up on Jani and Bodhi Schofield. Their mother Susan reminds me a lot of Kate. Instead of getting her children on tv to exploit them, she chose YouTube. She claims her children both have childhood onset schizophrenia. There is a lot of public speculation that Susan has Munchausens by proxy. Which got me thinking about Kate again. Is she crazy enough to try hurting the remaining four to garner public attention again?
What’s stopping her is she knows the truth is out. TLC pulled the college episode damn quick after Jon’s interview. They’re not going to go to bat for her. She’s not willing to answer the question of why Collin was “incarcerated “ especially because people can see by Jon’s posts that he’s doing so well. She’s cooked.
I wonder if pulling the College Bound episode was part of negotiations with Jon. In other words pull it from all your platforms or I'm suing.
It would be hilarious if they now were forced to negotiate with Jon.
TLC taking action on the College Bound episode is in my memory the only time I have ever seen them not fully get behind Kate in that brazen way they always have before. A watershed moment as far as I'm concerned. It's a big deal to pull an episode from reruns, and depending on Kate's contract could even impact her financially as she won't get any dough from repeat airings.
Well well, Olivia Jade, Lori Laughlin's daughter, is back on Youtube. She is getting slammed in the comments.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzpJ8RYlrM4
I suppose since now she won't get a college education and doesn't seem to be interested in actually being an actor like her mom she has to do youtube. Just like Kate. Can't do McDonalds because she can't get rich from it.
The only platform Kate will consider (to get her message out there and "tell the truth" about the family is an episode of K+8. She'll give rehearsed answers to pre-selected questions posed to her by a producer, and tell the world how wonderful their life is and how she didn't have a choice about sending C away (who is she to say no to his doctors?) and she had no idea that it wasn't okay to film. None of it is her fault, Jon is a liar, and the judge and GAL are trying to destroy her and the kids. No hard questions, nobody trying to get to the truth--just her own narrative, which will be embraced by her fans. Followed, of course, by a gushing article in People magazine, complete with glossy pictures.
Make no mistake about it, Kate threw Collin away because he was getting in the way of filming. Filming is the reason for her banishment of everyone else from her life. Family, friends, spouse, child--all sacrificed for filming. She said she'd never leave Collin. She also said Mommy and Daddy would be together forever. But when the marriage and the kid got in the way of her beloved cameras, all bets were off.
BTW, Jon IS a hero. He's Collin's hero. And Hannah's too. He doesn't have to "play" the part of hero when is really is one.
Blue Jay (21) Your vacation sounds amazing! We lived in Europe for many years while DH was in the military, and loved it. There's so much to do and see, and all the borders are open so you can easily move from country to country. When we first went, the borders weren't open and that made travel much more inconvenient. Now, however, you can anywhere and explore to your heart's content. Enjoy!
"She'll give rehearsed answers to pre-selected questions posed to her by a producer, and tell the world how wonderful their life is and how she didn't have a choice..."
This might just be serious enough that she'll have a producer (or Skeeve) in her ear as she did with the infamous Natalie Morales interview back in 2009. We know there is no level of fakery that she is above.
Admin (#33), sorry for your loss. I was clever enough to just read excerpts, so I wouldn't want to throw myself off a bridge. I thought this was a fine example of her intellectual depth: "I wanted to come back because I wanted to come back."
"I wanted to come back because I wanted to come back." _____
LITERALLY had me LMFAO! I couldn't bring myself to watch any of it, I am just so appalled that there seems to be an entire generation of humans who think they can live extremely well off of what they talk about to a camera in their bedrooms! I'm 63 next week, and I'm GLAD that my life has not been this empty.
The two genuinely seem very similar yes. Olivia and the Gosselin's.
I genuinely miss filming. We have to film. It translate to me to mean: because we don't know what else to do with our lives. I find it interesting that so many don't know what to do with their lives. Very much like Kate. Who probably doesn't know what to do with her life without filming. Just like this young lady, Olivia. Who doesn't strike me as anything other than, oh my gosh, what do I do with my life without filming it? I's very sad honestly.
Thank you both very much, Layla for being so kind for sharing your experiences. We finally settled actually to start out in, GULP of all the places in Europe, to start out in Barcelona, Spain! Then end in Stockholm, Sweden after 4 weeks working through pretty much a great deal of Europe. But we're retired and not in a hurry.
Sad but true said... 35 I'm 63 next week, and I'm GLAD that my life has not been this empty.
***************** Happy bday ahead of time. I turned 63 in Nov. I was trying to think of what I could put on a video and it would be maybe since I don't wear makeup it would be how to get rid of my chin whiskers, combing my hair. Yup that's about it for beauty tips. Not 6 layers of moisturizer concealer, powder, blush and good knows what else she puts on face. (i watched one of her old videos for couple min. )

And I think they also have similar mothers. Shallow, not very bright, have a very misguided view of what's in their children's best interest and a very misguided view of what "the best" means for their family. And also Aunt Becky there is really going all in that she isn't going to go straight to jail for a number of years. Other people in this mess have already worked out a settlement and served it and can now move on. She's bananas.
The thing with Olivia Jade is although she's not the sharpest tool in the shed she has a few things going for her. She's stylish, and pretty, and she can speak comfortably on her feet. A kid like that could have been channeled into so many more worthwhile activities as she was growing up. Debate club, school plays and musicals, show choirs, school newspaper, various camps like design school camps or camps for the arts. They let her channel it into youtube instead when they should have said no youtube at all it's not a good use of your time, and she got addicted to exploiting herself. Make no mistake, this is an addiction.
And by the way, I think it would be a hilarious parody if a spunky lady in her 60s did her own Olivia-Jade style video. --------------------- If I could pull it off I would try.
In my opinion, Kate made a short-sighted and critical misstep with Collin. She wanted to control the narrative of the family and his behavior was disrupting it. If she had turned over custody to Jon, it would have been perceived as a caring mother who would do anything for her children (even if she was effectively dumping him). Instead, she warehoused him probably with an 'out of sight, out of mind' point of view. It served her immediate needs to continue the narrative she wanted to follow without considering the externalities she inadvertently introduced. In short, lots and lots of documentation has now been created about his situation. It is obvious his issues do not match her narrative about him. Jon likely has a considerable amount of third party documentation which is harmful to her. In my opinion, she is now experiencing a perfect storm of issues. The gag order has run out so Jon now can provide his own point of view. Two children are no longer under her control and living with Jon. Two others are in college and probably only marginally controlled by financial incentives. She broke a legal agreement which forced an episode off the air. Here's my personal guess why she's been silent: many of these contracts have fairly harsh penalties for breach of contract. It is no longer about her, but the concerns of the loss of advertising revenue on their more popular shows if she spins this up into a situation that is even worse for TLC. They may have leveraged her into keeping absolute silence with an agreement to not enforce the breach clause if she does not post or say anything until they allow it. My personal guess is it is driving her crazy, but the fear of a large payout is compelling her silence.
Sad but true & Ingrid, could I join your birthday group, my 61st is on Monday. And I too am so glad I grew up in the time before cell phones, social media, all of that!!
Thanks, everyone, for the b'day wishes, and I return them to Ingrid and Sandylove.

From Dmasy capecodmama (47) -- Does anyone have an idea what being in the 70's is the new ____??
I ran two 10K's this year and several 5K's. I climb ladders, practice yoga and can still remember most important items. I can sit on the floor and get up without any human or furniture assistance. What a resume'!
Congratulations to all who are entering the sweet sixties. Life is what genetics endowed us with and the attitude we nourish.
JTN (#43), great comment. When TFW said, "I'm in charge, and that's never gonna change," she had TLC's money and legal muscle behind her. Now she has neither. And yes, she must be enraged. I hope the 4 remaining cast members at home have other places to be after school and on weekends, because the stress level in that house must be off the charts.
I had a big cleaning project. We had a new front door installed. Wooden door was replaced with a simple scroll designed iron door. The measurements were slightly off. The men had to do bondo and sanding. The results are beautiful. However, a fine gray grit settled on horizontal and vertical surfaces deep into the living area. A cloud of stubborn dust invaded our home.
I actually had to damp wipe prior to using the vacuum. What did I distract myself with?
I found some really detailed crime pod casts! (I think some are duds.) I learned more about Scott Peterson, Jodi Arias and Darlene Routier. Crime kept me company.
Hubby walked into the room during a gruesome chapter of Jodi Arias. He made his funny (he thinks) comment about "sleeping with one eye open".
Out of respect for the door company, I need to say that they are sending a cleaning person to our home on Friday. They did take responsibility. I couldn't wait that long and went on to attack the worst of it before we tracked it further.
PS: Crime podcasts are also compatible with decorating for the holidays.
Dmasy (#52), I think you've come up with a novel topic for a Hallmark Christmas movie: "Homicidal Holidays." Candace Cameron Bure stars a Christmas tree decorator who falls in love with the murder suspect (Jack Wagner) from her favorite true crime podcast. But their fairy tale romance hits a snag when his sentencing date conflicts with her parents' annual holiday party.

***************** That is amazing! I think you should be special and be considered 70's are the new 40 also! My daughter runs marathons,5Ks, whatever she can find to keep training for the next. She turned 40 in Oct and set a goal for herself to run 40 miles to celebrate? it. She did it. I never got into that sort of thing. She got into running on her own. I now have issues where my legs can be so weak that I have trouble getting off normal height toilets. (which is worrisome if I ever need help in a public one!) LOL

I don't think Derrick Dillard is really on speaking terms with JimBoob or any of the rest of the group. TLC fired him so I wonder if there was ever a contract saying he couldn't speak up about thing. I think he will find a way around it. Maybe someone at law school will advise him on this. Anybody who does a reality show is asking for life time of trouble. Kenny and Bobbi McCaughey had the right attitude on their family agreeing to a yearly progress report on them only. They are truly to be admired. They have 2 kids with disabilities, and they handled this without TLC. All of their 8 children are fine people and getting educations and have direction in life.

Well, Derick doesn't even acknowledge that he was "fired," nor that he ever even signed a contract with TLC, so there's that, LOL. If JB signed a contract that had a blanket NDA to cover EVERY family member, in the same way that he apparently accepts contract payments on behalf of the whole family, I can see a whole lotta trouble on the horizon.

And I quote "I genuinely miss filming, I feel like a huge part of me is just not the same."
Does she realize how pathetic that sounds? Sounds like what the Gosselin kids told the judge. ********** I hate to say it, but the remaining G kids may be just as addicted to the cameras as their mother. It is appalling to read that they said need to film to survive and that they don't feel normal if they're not filming. Is that something their mother told them to say, or do they really feel that way? Are they afraid of losing everything financially, or are they afraid the cameras will go away and they'll be left with "mediocre" lives? Sadly, they may feel just like their mother about filming and fame. If so, then she has truly ruined their lives.
I'm thrilled to report that several members of my family have moved from our hometown in the Midwest to...NYC! Including my 76-year-old mother, who is having the time of her life. She is learning to navigate the subway, and she loves puttering around, going to museums, visiting cafes and coffee shops, and planning excursions for all of us. Nantucket, Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, the Hamptons, and the artist colony in Cornish, NH are all on this summer's agenda. Lots and lots of outings in the city, leaf-peeping this fall, exploring Boston. This is her ultimate adventure, and she's making the most of it. I have never seen her so happy. She has always longed for something more and bigger than what our hometown had to offer, and now she's making the most of the opportunity. I hope that when I'm 76 I am just like her. This move is in support of a major opportunity for another family member, but I won't go into that right now. I'll drop some hints as things progress.
Jinger Vuolo/Duggar lost her partnership with fonuts. Fonuts said it was a poor choice in a promotional partnership. In the future they will be more diligent in finding partners who encompass their core values of kindness, inclusivity, and transparency.
I guess they did no research before they decided to partner with a Duggar.
To whoever said they can generally remember important things...for Thanksgiving I put the turkey in the oven, but didn't turn the oven on. I wasn't born with a sense of smell so I didn't realize the oven wasn't on until my son and family came over about an hour before dinner and asked why there was no turkey aroma.
I also didn't remember to buy any potatoes.
I signed up for a yoga class recently. The first class was pretty much a waste because I spent most of it trying to decide which side was the left or right. By the time I got there I figured it out she had moved on to the next pose.
Thankfully she goes fairly quickly through the poses so she doesn't notice if I don't get one correct, or at all. I'm very grateful that I signed up for the modified yoga that we do with a chair instead of real yoga because I can't get up and down from the floor easily.
On the plus side, however, I just played my first solo violin recital and did awesomely well. Very proud of myself on that one.

This could get interesting. I think JimBoob will find himself with some ineffective agreements on his hands if he is signing things and agreeing to things on behalf of other consenting adults who can agree to things themselves.

You have a reason to be proud and a hilarious Thanksgiving story for you and your family to bring laughter every Thanksgiving from here on. Happy Thanksgiving Mel! You brought a bit of laughter for me today. THANKS!
Kate must have forgotten to re-up her IG follower purchase. She's lost over 130 in the past two hours, LOL. There simply is no way followers could be going up in the wake of all the recent revelations, maybe she's figured that out and will stop throwing good money after bad.
Mel, I think the violin accomplishment far outweighs your uncooked turkey! Next time, let your son do the cooking. :)
Kate hasn't posted on her instagram since the girls went off to college. I wonder if she is capable of being humiliated with everything that has come out about her. Or if she is plotting her "comeback". I really don't see anyone that would want to work with her.
Olivia Jade is back on Instagram too lol. Her comments to likes ratio is very odd. 200k likes but only 36 comments? That seems bizarre. (((((((((( I think some people just click the like but don't go farther. Maybe they are just following so many they can't write to all.

Narcissists can’t be humiliated... they only want revenge. They’re basically children stuck at a certain age and think the world revolves around them. She will never look at herself and think anything is her fault. It’s not gonna happen ... she’s mentally ill. No humiliation just anger and punishment

Buh-bum!
Seriously, it would have saved them so much grief to have the kid ACTUALLY row on the crew team.
I know some people are sick of this scandal but the fun just keeps going for me. It's like the way some savvy criminals try so hard. If they tried half as hard at living life straight as they do at committing crimes, the sky's the limit. So too the Olivia-Jades of the world.
A relative who watches K+8 made an interesting point--she talked about how, in the first episode back after the cancellation (2014), Kate was boasting about how she doesn't just let her kids win. And then, in the last/lost episode, she was complaining that the kids wouldn't just let her win (go-karts). Interesting...she sure did go full circle, didn't she? From "I don't just let my kids win" to "I you would just let me win". Kind of ironic, isn't it?

You know that may seem insignificant, but I see it as a perfect example of how absolutely infuriating it is to be at the mercy of her mental illness. Nothing the kids do is right. If they finally do do something right, she will change the rules. This is likely true of many, many things they face in life, not just games. The psychological damage this does day after day long term to a child can't be understated.
She is mentally ill... let’s be honest... who puts their kid away like that not showing any empathy . That in itself is not a Norma act unless in very severe cases. Everyone knows how manipulating these kind of people are. Everything they do is for their purpose only. Just because it’s her child doesn’t mean she can make an exception... narcissists treat everyone the same. They are just plain evil and I don’t use that word lightly. They’re known emotional abusers , liars, and gaslighting is their specialty. Also control freaks over the people they “own”
I lived with a narc for 28 years...it took me three years to see I wasn’t crazy for the things I knew were true... He had me believing I was at fault for his lying and cheating.. that’s how screwed up I was... I can’t imagine how kids can ever process what’s been done to them ... it’s horrific to say the least. Also the rage these people show is truly frightening
I also examine it from a perspective Kate always, always seemed to be sure to say that she put it out there, everything--when she was married:
Everything we do is for the kids and later when she was not longer married, everything I do is for my kids.
I mean she really put it out there and laid it on this as if she was constantly checking with herself and everyone around her almost like a reminder, I have to remember to appear normal, if I say it a lot then I'll appear normal because normal parents always say this (so she thinks).
Hate to break it to you sweetheart. But I have raised 3 children, A, C and M. And my husband and I both never ran our mouths so much about saying everything we do is for our children. Not to ourselves, not the cameras certainly, we had none, not to friends we never boasted about it about how much we did for them. Not as if we said, oh you know we just took A here and look what we bought for C for his birthday and look what we did for M for school and on and on.
That's what Kate always did in front of the cameras. Her constant need to push that narrative: look what I do for my kids and look how they thank me so much. Honey, that's not normal of most parents, that's sick. I tried for a while to see her as a normal parent, but fact is she's not.
I mean any, alright normal parents you do things for your children because you love them that's just simple fact you don't do it for the cheering because those things you do for them 8 out of 10 or so your children won't remember you did it because you did it.
Like when he joined Twitter was it? She said her children would be so proud of her. Yes, well....um...I remember back in the 80's when my kids were growing up I joined a ladies reading group. Did my kids care? You bet your bottom dollar, not a one of them did.
All the episode I ever remember watching briefly old and new she always it is all about herself with this thrown in she has and had to remind herself: I have to come off as normal, I have to throw things out there overstated that I care so that I don't tip myself over into coming off as not normal.
Begs the actual question of how her own parents never seemed to notice any of this odd behavior. She can't have developed all this as an adult.

Oh, I think her parents were very aware of her issues long before she married Jon. Although there is not all that much known about her life pre-tups, there are a number of stories (and I have no idea if any or all of these are true) in Hoffman's book: how she was a pregnant, unwed teen who was forced to get an abortion by her father; how she moved in with a boyfriend's family (while still under 18, I believe) and expected him/them to treat her like a diva; how she was very promiscuous in high school, to the embarrassment of her highly religious parents, etc.
Her parents have NEVER spoken of those days, but I bet they struggled mightily to contain her. Too bad they didn't have the option of sending her off for some "treatment," a la Collin. There is no doubt that she continued to embarrass them after she had the tups, when she deemed the donated cribs and other items put together by her father's church as not good enough for her. I am certain they have a LOT of stories to tell, were they ever motivated to do so. I doubt that 30 years ago they were able to put the narcissistic/ histrionic labels on her, but her behavior reads like the textbook version of both disorders.
Did anyone see Jon's post on his insta stories I believe where he showed a bottle of wine and said "Tough day"? I can't find it now, I don't know if he took it down. But In Touch Weekly did an article about it. I wonder if he had to face Kate in court or something happened regarding the kids.

I get the impression her parents were hard on her in a sincere belief that's what she needed, and given that it was the 80s and 90s, probably didn't have half the understanding of mental illness that we do today or the support. If they were heavily involved in the church, odds are in that time period the way one dealt with such situations is praying and showering the child with love and support, which just isn't going to cut it when someone needs psychiatric treatment and medication. Who knows if they even recognized they had a mentally ill child on their hands. It must have been so difficult on them to know how much she resented everything she did and didn't appreciate them.
Narcs are experts at perception management... this was the narrative she settled on to justify her using her kids. She’s been only thinking of herself the whole time... she thinks if she said it a million times people would start to believe it. Unfortunately this is their way of manipulating everyone . She’s very cunning ... I’m no professional but sadly I know what this looks like and it’s not pretty... I would even go so far as to say she is a “severe” narcissist... they cause such fear and pain to everyone they come in contact with
Jon was “love bombed”... it was always inevitable that he would be Devalued then discarded once he was no longer of any use to her ...same with Collin... same with everyone in her life! She is classic text book.
This mental illness happens because of their child hood... somewhere along the line she was either the scapegoat or the “special “ child... there are various reasons... but this woman is stunted emotionally... they feel entitled to everything and use whoever is at their disposal to get it... and unfortunately there’s no medication for narcissism... you have to shut them out of your life... they will suck the life out of you... without any remorse or guilt ... hence the kids doing everything for her and her thinking that’s perfectly normal
She also might have other things going on with her mentally... what a freaking nightmare!
Why does Kate keep saying Jon took away their only means of income, when she faithfully renews her nurse's licence every time it comes due? Surely she can make a good amount that way..enough for the five of them, and no baby sitters will be needed no matter what shift she would work.

Thanks Joy! They're smart, innovative, motivated, likable and not lazy. They managed to turn a lucky TV gig into an empire to the point where, Kate, they didn't NEED to film anymore and could quit filming, which as I understand it was really what they would prefer--less time filming somebody else's TV show and more time doing the projects THEY would like to do and the filming THEY would like to do.
I went to the Silos last year and liked it immensely, I'm going again this year for xmas. I highly recommend it. Be sure to come over lunch to get something at the food trucks or the coffee shop. Also, there is a discount Silos shop some 10 minutes away nobody seems to know about where the clearance items are. STOP THERE!
Admin (#90), you silly goose, you think Silos clearance is a money saver? Every savvy shopper knows the real way to live frugally is to have a saltwater pool, so you don't waste money on beach vacations. And don't forget that economical 3rd car for getting the most bang for your driving buck!
Admin, I will meet you there! (About 4 Texas hours away from me.)
I have friends who stayed in a Gains flip house that is a B&B. Their family met at a central location for Thanksgiving. They said the house was very well done. Not quick slap up construction for TV. The house is for sale. One of my friend's family members is actually thinking of making an offer on it.
They are very savvy people who made wise marketing decisions. It can be done!

I saw that article explained that a lot of people just end up throwing these houses on air b and b. That's really smart, advertising your house as featured on Fixer Upper you can triple the price.
I've always been particularly touched by the way Chip and Joanna didn't go Hollywood and instead stayed true to their roots and focused on revitalizing their little corner of the world. They have done wonderful things for one lovely little piece of Texas.
Did you know the Gaines family doesn't even own a TV? I'm disappointed about their religious beliefs (no gay people allowed) but I can't deny their smarts, talents, and personalities. They revolutionized HGTV & then left!
The controversy about the anti-gay thing was a nothing burger. All that happened was it was discovered their pastor believed in conversion therapy and somebody did an article about it, which made the internet explode. People tried to find out how Chip and Joanna felt about the issue but they refused to comment, which was probably wise. But you know what Chip and Joanna did say? Please stop attacking the journalists who wrote the article.
I haven't been living in Texas quite long enough to be an expert.
Austin is an awesome city full of interesting places to visit -- especially for music. However, The River Walk is in San Antonio. Where I live is about equal distance between the two cities.
The Gaines enterprise is in Waco which would be about 100 miles from Austin.
The extreme points of Texas are 801 miles apart. Cities and tourist sites can be far from each other in Texas!
We all know that Kate could be living high off the hog right now given all the opportunity's she had. But, Kate refused to do the work required. Work is a four letter word to Kate. Work is something other people do for her. She likes reality tv because all she has to do is show up and be an ass for the camera. The production crew books the filming locations, and accommodations.
Because I'm a true crime junkie and need help, when I went to the Silos I also requested of my forgiving party if we could please make a side trip to the Branch Davidian site. Welp, that was rather creepy and disturbing, and the cult is still there. I highly recommend it, if you're into that sort of thing.
My oldest daughter and sil were in Waco last month and went to the silos. My sil is a wounded vet and he participates in former President George Bush’s annual Wounded Warrior 100K bike ride. They also visited Clint Harp’s shop and brought me home some lovely gifts from both places. They quite enjoyed it. My sil has been to the silos before but this was my daughter’s first time.
Austin is an awesome city full of interesting places to visit -- especially for music. However, The River Walk is in San Antonio *************** Oh, I have heard great things about the San Antonio River Walk. Austin's is not nearly as grand, but it does have pedicabs, thankfully! And I got to see the bat bridge which was amazing! We mainly just bar hopped & rode around. It was the first time I had ever met my sister & my aunt. (I was adopted) We had a wonderful time!
just wondering said... 95 I was in Austin last year & begged my aunt & sister to go there. I was outvoted & had to do the Riverwalk thing, instead. Boring! ^^^^^^^^^^^^ This reminds me of a trip I made to San Antonio with some girlfriends 3 years ago. We went to the Riverwalk there, and went to a Mexican restaurant on the lower level for lunch. I got one of those taco salads that comes in a tortilla bowl, and it looked so delicious. Just as I was about to dig in, something landed with a plop in the middle of my salad. I looked up into the tree branches above my head and there was a large bird right above me. The bird had pooped right into my taco salad. It was pretty gross at the time, but it's something we all laugh about whenever we talk about that trip. Sometimes the worst vacation experiences make the best memories,
Dmasy (105) Yes they did! They all got a laugh out of it. We were, of course, sitting at one of the restaurant's tables out by the water instead of inside the restaurant, and there were umbrellas over the tables, but they hadn't been opened that day. The manager said he was going to use that experience as a training tool--"This is what happens when we forget to open the umbrellas". And yes, I have pictures of it all!
See, because I was adopted I know a few things about the importance of early bonding with the mother, or rather the lack of it.
Because I was in two different foster homes & an orphanage before I was six months old, I learned how to self soothe early and to not bond. By the time my parents met me (at 6 months) I wanted nothing to do with being held by adults. It was already hard wired. I loved kids & would let any child hold me just fine. But I would stiffen, cry, and not make eye contact with my mom. I loved my dad, so maybe I had never been exposed to a man or had never formed a broken bond with one.
Anyway... My point is that Kate's kids were passed from caretaker to caretaker for as long as Kate could keep them volunteering. She was the list maker, the organizer, but not their mother. There is no way those kids formed that early skin to skin bond, the sound of the same voice, the same face feeding them. It did not happen. She has no more bond with them than they do with her. The kids do not have any concept of intimacy & it will haunt many if not all of them for a very long time, if not forever.
Sure, I was only 6 months & learned to relax & was quite the treasured child, but there was & still is a steel cage around my heart. Will the Gosselin kids have one? Time will tell.
Their future relationships will undoubtedly be rocky as they will either be very needy or very aloof. I have worried about those kids since the first time I laid eyes on them, and that doesn't even address the mind boggling narcissism of their egg donor.
Their warped lack of social engagement outside of their immediate family alone is stunting their minds. The mere fact that Jon just doesn't have any gas left in him to fight for his visiting rights is another. Instead, the remaining 4 are being consumed by Kate's constant gaslighting.
Just the ramblings of an old lady who worries about such things...
Kate has been silent for a very long time. No Halloween pictures, Thanksgiving, and by now the half decorated Christmas tree and piles of gifts pictures have not seen the light of day. I wonder if she is on a court order to not publish anything about the 4 minor hostages.
I think you make some really good points. There are very different issues b/t the twins and the tups with respect to their mother. The twins had the benefit of roughly 3 years with no other pregnancy/children diverting their mother. They got a lot of attention from her (not least because she was always trying to market THEM) as well as from extended family and friends.
The tups, OTOH, were, virtually from birth, separated from Kate by time in the NICU; a revolving door of volunteers for the first 6-12 months; the full-time assistance of a nurse for a full year; and then the countless housekeepers and nannies who, by the time they were 3 years old, were on hand nearly all the time (many of them live-ins) by virtue of the show's success. By this time, K8 was on her seemingly endless one-week home/one-week away "perfect" life of shucking and jiving. This lifestyle went on until the divorce, after which we know there were full-time, live-in housekeepers and nannies at least until the end of 2011 (when TLC cancelled K8), and probably somewhat beyond. This covers the first EIGHT years of the tups' lives, and so it is not at all surprising that they don't seem to have a close bond with Kate. I think in those earlier years, it was JON they had all bonded with, and this is borne out by the famous video of the drop-off at the gate, when the kids were 6, when there is wailing from all that they have to leave him. I think this scene was a big shock for Kate, and this is when she started to try to separate the tups from Jon---for the good of the show, of course. This is when the agreed-upon custody parameters (which were settled "privately" and NOT covered in their divorce) started to disintegrate.
Old lady or not, just wondering, I think your insights on this issue are spot on. :)
I had some attachment issues related to my first year of life (traumatic birth, long time spent in the NICU, fairly inconsistent caregiving) and have done a lot of reading on the subject. It *totally* makes sense to me that the Gosselin children would have similar issues due to their circumstances. Even in the best of circumstances, where you have a normal, non-mentally ill, loving and warm mother, you would have to work REALLY REALLY hard to facilitate proper bonding and attachment with six same-age babies like the tups. With a cold and detached mother with seeming underlying mental illness, a revolving door of volunteers and nannies and babysitters, two additional siblings in the house, and then eventually cameras...it's a recipe for disaster.
OT. Has anyone else listened to the Dirty John podcast? I finished the first 6 episodes yesterday. (Netflix has the series based on the podcast.)
Fascinating true-crime story.
However, I have some very "insulting" comments to make about the women who are involved. Holding back. Wondering if I am the only one who feels the way I do.
I almost had to quit listening because of the childish up-speak. Sickening.
I have to agree with the posters above who talked about bonding early in life. My grandson just turned 2 months old, and it's amazing to see how much he interacts with the people around him, and how differently he reacts to different people. With Mommy he's all snuggles and smiles, and loves "talking" with her. She talks, he coos back, and they have the cutest conversations. With Daddy he's all action (Daddy is the "fun parent"), and their favorite game now is blowing saliva bubbles. Sully blows bubbles, Daddy blows bubbles back, and they both laugh themselves silly. For some reason I put him to sleep so when they're here and he gets cranky, he looks around for me and as soon as I hold him he goes to sleep. He curls his little hand around my finger and watches me intently (I always sing to him, and even though I can't carry a tune to save my life, he doesn't know that!) and he drops off in minutes. He has a little something different with each person. I can't imagine what a child loses when they don't have those kinds of early attachments. Kate has done her children a huge disservice by having a revolving door or people taking care of them while she keeps her distance and "masterminds" everything. Really, thinking back to the early specials, did they really need all the post-it notes and seating charts? Wouldn't it be better for her to bond with the babies rather than micromanage everything? She obviously didn't want to, and that's sad.
Why did Kate feel the need to comment on Mady's Instagram? She just cannot help herself. She should not have the need or desire to comment on her college aged daughter's picture with a friend. She HAS to draw attention to herself any way she can. Kate is just a pathetic weirdo now. She is going to exploit those kids till the end. At least two of them have caught on to her selfish games and cut her loose. Kate is just desperate now.
Why did Kate feel the need to comment on Mady's Instagram? She just cannot help herself.
&&&
Normal mothers would restrain themselves no matter how badly they want to comment "love you girls," they wouldn't.
Kate's totally the type of mother with no self awareness who, because it makes KATE feel good, likes to pretend she's all buddy buddy with the girls. Even if she doesn't know said girl thrust in front of her from Adam.
Eventually, trust me, Mady will get sick of this, and her girlfriends will find it obnoxious.
I got together with several college friends during breaks, the ones who lived nearby. My mother never asked to tag along, or felt the need to overly insert herself into whatever we were doing, which was usually coffee, a meal, and movies. If we had social media then, I'm sure she wouldn't have commented. And the thing is, I naturally chose to spend a good deal of my time with my parents and family on my breaks, and I'm guessing that's because they gave me the freedom to see people my age, too, without guilt, or a need to insert themselves into the occasion.
Your mom didnt need to butt in to your friend time because she has her own life. Kate always wants to be center of attention and has very little now.I think except for brownlow or hair and makeup people Kate has no one else to interact or hang out with.
Just wanted to say I appreciate everyone who has talked about their personal experience in childhood struggles with connection. It takes courage to share about intimate things like that. But your honesty may help others, so I applaud you.
Is it possible now, given that Kate seems to have no other social interactions of her own, that social media, no matter where it comes from, IS Kate's peer now? You know in that way for teens who have not a lot of friends that social media fills that void for them as a peer? It is doing the same for Kate? So she's possibly filling that void through her daughter's?
I mean think about it: Kate didn't really go to college, she went to what was it, some nursing school or something like that? And then she married young-ish? Then started having children? So she didn't exactly spread her wings like you see Mady and Cara doing. Who are going to build relationships and such.
I gather she could be latching on to that out of resentment, jealous, you name it, that longing, desire whatever. Like parents who live through their own children in tat aspect.
She never went out on the show much, expect to film. She was always with her children, then whined about being with her children. So I wouldn't consider this far fetched for her to try and squeeze in on something she doesn't belong in. It seems right up her alley in a way.
BlueJay: never thought I'd defend Kate, but as an ex-RN ( with a degree) I want to point out that it is a good reputable career that takes a lot of training and knowledge .I forget where she studied but I don't think nursing should be discounted as a whole. Mind you, Kate probably was far from the best nurse and was said to be in the field to snag a dr but just had to stand up for my profession! No offense meant, just saying!
Formerly Duped said...121 When my son was born 11 weeks premature, he had to spend 9 weeks in the NICU. We absolutely could not have gotten through that experience without the nurses. While the doctors were helpful, it was the nurses who we turned to daily to offer compassion, expertise and advice. Some days we didn't even see the doctors, but we did see the nurses taking the very best care of our son. I actually found them more knowledgeable about quite a few things than the doctors were, plus they were much easier to talk to. Nursing is an unsung profession, IMO.
Formerly Duped, not any offense to those who went into nursing for the right reason. I should have said, it appears Kate went solely just to be married and nothing more. I don't think she went for the intentions of you know having a lasting career to care for the patient, their families, a career that you are dedicated to, that's where I was going with that. Kate didn't work hard at her career for the goal of working hard at it. She went for herself to marry up.
Yeah.. My son's wife has been a NICU nurse for about 25 years, now. She spent many extra years in school at both IU and Purdue. Kate just took a local 3 year diploma program, whatever that is.
Lorrie, so glad your son was ok! I agree- nurses are there 24/7 and the docs are around but not at the bedside...I just meant whatever Kate has done or not done, nursing is not something to be considered not" really a college" or "some nursing school" and dismissed. Sorry to be defensive. Thanks for sharing your story.
I'm awfully sorry my words were not correct or came out of my fingers the wrong way I really am. They were not in my mind the same way. I really meant not to ruffle anyone's feathers ladies. I appreciate anyone who is a nurse and who loves their patience and loves to BE there in the moment of need with the family and the patient. I just I suppose always got the feeling that wasn't what Kate went for. I get the impression she's going to be living through her kids who went off to university.
I'm offer you a virtual hug and an apology Formerly Duped.I am sorry.
Thanks BlueJay. I wasn't looking for an apology but I appreciate your post! I just meant Kate did have a good education and career training. Nursing is a great career she could have supported her remaining kids with...it takes compassion, hard work, and shift work is a killer. You have to have a lot of knowledge, make snap decisions, learn many technical skills, and deal with patients, parents, doctors, other medical personnel and take credits to keep current. You can advance your career as many do if you have the gumption. I agree with 'just wondering' though that I would not want Kate as my nurse...but having studied to be a RN and working in the profession is the only positive thing I have ever said about Kate! Thanks BlueJay!
I wonder if the twins even came home over thanksgiving break. No pictures. No slaving over a huge meal and pies galore from tfw. Maybe the tides have turned and the court has forbidden HER from posting on the kids since she’s the one who ignored court orders. Either that or she now knows the truth is out about Collin and Hannah and there’s NOTHING she can say to redeem herself. Hopefully the other 4 can escape.
Wowser said... 129 I wonder if the twins even came home over thanksgiving break. No pictures. ======== Mady posted a picture with a caption about being home for Thanksgiving. It was a picture of them eating some sort of Asian food (sushi, soup, egg rolls, etc.). No people in the picture.
The twins are off for a month and the tups will be off for 3 weeks starting next Friday. Maybe Kate's planning a little island getaway for herself and the inmates? Anything to one-up Jon, LOL. I wouldn't be surprised if she does something like this. Otherwise, since they don't have drivers' licenses, her twins will be stuck in the house the whole time unless friends come get them. I can't think of a more dreadful holiday break than being back in the compound with the same tired old cast of characters you just left.
Sad but true said... 131- I have a feeling that the twins will not be spending a whole lot of their time trapped at the McMansion. They will probably find every excuse in the book to get out, socialize, and avoid home unless truly necessary. I’ve seen pics of Cara, on social media, attending college parties, museums, and nights out at coffee lounges with friends. So spending extended time in boring Wernersville, is most likely a thing of the past. Gigi Be
Gigi Be (132) It makes me happy to think of Cara going out and enjoying herself without Kate and Mady there. She always seemed to be overshadowed by them, and now she has her opportunity to shine. I remember the one episode I watched (back-to-school shopping) Mady was cutting her off and talking over her. No wonder she was so silent during the couch interviews--she probably felt humiliated by that and just decided it was better to let Mady do all the talking. We don't know how much of the couch interviews ended up on a cutting-room floor, but I'm sure that wasn't the only time she was cut off by Mady. For the first time Cara gets to be independent, to pursue her own interests, make her own friends, go places and do things of her choosing. I wouldn't be at all surprised if she stays at school for awhile to spend time with friends over break, and goes back early after the holidays.
Someone on Kate's Instagram outed the doctor who treated Collin and stated she hopes he sues both the doctor and Kate. Collin gave the name of the doctor in his letter but in all the copies I have seen, it has been taken out. Reading the patient's reviews is chilling..."humiliating them" and trying to "break them down"???? That's probably why Kate never visited or checked on him. She can claim ignorance because she never visited and blame it all on doctors who gave her bad advice. She has to have had some kind of break with reality. No normal mother would put her child there without first sending them to live with their other parent. This was pure evil to spite Jon and put her own son through hell. Kate is a very sick and dangerous woman.
Giff (#134), yes, the emotional abuse C endured is probably much more painful, and harder to recover from, than the beatings. What a nightmare for that boy. And the fact that he has shown no rancor towards his gestational carrier shows a strength not many people could muster. I know I couldn't have.
Flimsy 136--I don't think Collin has any desire to see Mother again ever. From birth he was abused mentally and physically by her. I doubt she sends birthday or Christmas or any kind of gift or card to C or H. He is so lucky to be where he is now. Now he knows what real life and real families are all about. He gets to see his uncles and cousins on Jon's side so that is an extra bonus. I still feel bad for him though.
If anyone would like a chuckle, Jinger Duggar and her husband now have their own website. I won't click on it, but I read about it. It's jingerandjeremy.com, and they really believe they're on their way to fame and fortune. Remember when being famous required some sort of skill or talent or hard work?
FlimsyFlamsy said... 139 Amazing isn’t it. I think Jeremy is trying to become the next celebrity pastor ala Joel Olsteen. There instagram photos are all done by professional photographers. What are they trying to prove? And they are really basking in LA life now! They are really trying their best to look like trendy Californian’s. They seem to eat out every day at the trendiest places in town. I wonder how they can afford all that? And then you got Jill Duggar trying to pass off her “slop from the can“ recipes off as good ol home cooking to her fan base. -Gigi Be
Flimsy 136--I seem to remember seeing a portion of a legal document last year from Jon. It said something to effect of Colin shouldn't see "the Mother" because "the Mother" was a trigger to him and wouldn't comply with his treatment. I think its safe to say that it isn't in Colin's best interest to see her anytime soon. Its such a shame.
Collin's sad situation puts Hannah in a difficult position too. How can she maintain a sibling relationship with the 4 remaining tups, knowing what she does about Collin's treatment? The other kids are brainwashed or afraid or something to stay with The Mother and not try to join H and C at Jon's.
FlimsyFlamsy said... 139 If anyone would like a chuckle, Jinger Duggar and her husband now have their own website. ---- Interesting that they've proclaimed themselves "the breakout stars of TLC's hit show Counting On". Wonder if the equally fame-hungry Duggar siblings agree with that?
Rainbirdie (#143), interesting that Jeremy, who is in some sort of graduate program for the ministry, chose to proclaim his wife and himself as "stars." Not "popular," not "well-liked." But STARS. Soccer Boy has shown his hand with that description. Even if he didn't write that bio, you better believe he approved it. Kind of an obnoxious tone from a man of faith.

Dirty John was great, I loved both the podcast and the series. It's a real slow walk through of how an intelligent capable successful woman can be duped.
And for all her daughters' nails on chalkboard way of speaking, they were right about John. Life will be harder for them because of how they speak, and maybe that's a reality they're fine with.
By the way I just visited Balboa Island for the first time and darn if I didn't try to see if I could find their old house there he mooched off of, but was unsuccessful at finding an address online. Lol!
Jinger Duggar went 200% Hollywood...blonde hair and all. I don't think they will fare as well as Joel and those other multi-million dollar preachers. She has already lost a contract with Fonuts, and there will be more to come.
So according to the court papers, Kate can film the kids who are with her as long as she has Jon's written permission and a court order. However, it specifies a show based on her dating life--no mention of K+8. I wonder if she's able to film them without his permission if it's K+8 being filmed, but needs permission/court order if it's for the dating show.
Also--control of Hannah's and Collin's trusts have to be turned over to Jon. Also, the trust accounts of the 6 minor kids have to be divided into equal shares for each child. So if she drained Collin's money by using it to fund his confinement, she'll have to make up the difference using money from the other accounts. I'm glad--that means she can't punish him further by withholding his trust or claiming it was emptied because she chose to send him away. He gets the same amount as the others. Also--in paragraph 11, apparently Kate claims she's owed money by the trusts, and Jon is claiming Kate misappropriated money. The transfer of C&H's money is to be made without waiving those disputes, so Jon can still fight to find out if she's been draining the kids' money.
Back to reading! Admin, we need a new post based on this!
It looks like she is in big trouble and not too happy. Daily mail has a copy of the court order. Finally she is having to pay for what she has done to the children.
Jon and Kate have to provide each other with quarterly accounting of the trusts under their control, to include beginning and ending balances and itemized disbursements. I bet she doesn't like that at all! She has never been willing to let anyone else see what she's doing with the kids' money. I wonder how this will affect her cash flow. We've always suspected that she helps herself to the kids' money whenever she wants. Now she's going to be held accountable for everything she takes. H&C will probably end up with far more money than the others, simply due to the fact that they don't go to private school and I can't imagine Jon taking money from their trusts to pay for housing, food, clothes, etc. I suspect Kate has been doing that all along.
Kate had to pay Jon $1500 for his attorney's fees, plus she owes him $25,000 for his expenses from "appealing and losing a previous contempt". So this is not the first time she has been found in contempt. Too bad she didn't get jail time, but hitting her in the pocketbook is a good thing. Assuming she had to pay as much as Jon did for these last two court skirmishes, that means she's out $56,000 total.
Jon said he hasn't heard anything from TLC at all, so there's no planned filming coming up. Do we dare to hope that TLC has finally realized that Kate is not worth all the hassle? They would have to plan everything in advance, provide Jon with schedules (date/time/location/content), and then get a court order and his consent, and also get work permits for the kids. That's a lot of work (especially considering how low their shows' ratings are), and someone has to be paid for doing that work. Maybe, just maybe, she went to far this time.
I wonder what happens to H&C's interest in the house. The house is currently listed jointly in Kate's name and in the name of "CWM Revocable Trust". So the trust owns part of that house, which means H&C own part of it. If they're dividing the kids' trusts equally, then would she have to buy out H&C's interest in the house? Or would they still own a percentage of it?
Great to see that Collin went to court with Jon. He's standing up to Kate--good for him! And boy, does Kate look pi$$ed off in the pictures of her leaving court!

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 356 of 356 Newer› Newest»It is shocking to me that her "fans" still think Kate cares about them.

They’ve provided it ALL for
You!

Saw a post from a friend of the twins ,that Cara is in town for thanksgiving . The picture that was posted shows Cara enjoying herself with a large group of her hometown friends.. I’m happy that she is not allowing Kate to guilt her with her neediness and isn’t spending all her time hanging around the Gosselin orphanage

&&&&
He's such a beautiful young man that Kate doesn't deserve.
So sad in her letter to C in her book she wrote she would never leave him.
&&&

As someone who has ADHD I am so disgusted by the way you treated Colin and Hannah.
Shame on you #teamjon
kat.poo.9250
@XXXXX You realize that Kate has not gone into detail about this private matter with Colin, but Jon has wanted the attention concerning Colin's issue.
Kay.poo is not Kate

Well here’s a great synopsis of the college tour show that was pulled. Lol
https://youtu.be/0eqWv1G4vgs
@ oh she’s chomping at the bit...what’s stopping her idk!!
She’s cooked.
capecodmama
Blue Jay (21)
Your vacation sounds amazing!
Kate can't memorize shit.
wowser, thanks for the link to the YouTube video review of College Tour. another view of the lies of TFMJG revealed in what her children say.

This might just be serious enough that she'll have a producer (or Skeeve) in her ear as she did with the infamous Natalie Morales interview back in 2009. We know there is no level of fakery that she is above.
Jon sure get it with the quote he posted in his stories
“Being a good dad starts with presence not presents”
This is something Kate will never understand. This is why Hannah and Collin will have a promising future.

I burned two minutes of my life to watch the Olivia Jade video.
And I quote "I genuinely miss filming, I feel like a huge part of me is just not the same."
Does she realize how pathetic that sounds? Sounds like what the Gosselin kids told the judge.
Admin (#33), sorry for your loss. I was clever enough to just read excerpts, so I wouldn't want to throw myself off a bridge. I thought this was a fine example of her intellectual depth: "I wanted to come back because I wanted to come back."

Social media:YouTube really is the worst thing that ever happened to Olivia’s generation. Olivia is a product of that.
The comments though on the video are pretty great.

---------------------
If I could pull it off I would try.

From Dmasy:
Flimsy (49) -- thank you so much.
This story will have a relevant ending! Promise.

And the unimportant items? What happens to poor them?

I hate to say it, but the remaining G kids may be just as addicted to the cameras as their mother.

If JB signed a contract that had a blanket NDA to cover EVERY family member, in the same way that he apparently accepts contract payments on behalf of the whole family, I can see a whole lotta trouble on the horizon.

This could get interesting. I think JimBoob will find himself with some ineffective agreements on his hands if he is signing things and agreeing to things on behalf of other consenting adults who can agree to things themselves.

Congratulations Mel! You have a reason to be proud and a hilarious Thanksgiving story for you and your family to bring laughter every Thanksgiving from here on. Happy Thanksgiving Mel! You brought a bit of laughter for me today. THANKS!

Olivia Jade is back on Instagram too lol. Her comments to likes ratio is very odd. 200k likes but only 36 comments? That seems bizarre.

Oh lord. That explains it. Well that’s the first smart thing she’s done all year. Although what a shame we’re missing out on all the zingers. Humph!
Narcissists can’t be humiliated... they only want revenge. They’re basically children stuck at a certain age and think the world revolves around them. She will never look at herself and think anything is her fault. It’s not gonna happen ... she’s mentally ill. No humiliation just anger and punishment
Per Admin re Olivia Jade, " A kid like that could have been channeled into so many more worthwhile activities as she was growing up. Debate club, school plays and musicals, show choirs, school newspaper, various camps like design school camps or camps for the arts."
And let's not forget the crew team!
&&&&

Not only narcissistic personality disorder but maybe histrionic personality disorder too.
True and it’s not unusual to have a duel diagnosis... she is overly dramatic.. that one usually comes from childhood.. I guess they all do!

I was in Austin last year & begged my aunt & sister to go there. I was outvoted & had to do the Riverwalk thing, instead. Boring!

They are classy and a half.
Next time I go to Austin I will have to precondition the trip!! Fool me once!

Oh, I have heard great things about the San Antonio River Walk. Austin's is not nearly as grand, but it does have pedicabs, thankfully! And I got to see the bat bridge which was amazing! We mainly just bar hopped & rode around. It was the first time I had ever met my sister & my aunt. (I was adopted) We had a wonderful time!

This reminds me of a trip I made to San Antonio with some girlfriends 3 years ago. Sometimes the worst vacation experiences make the best memories,
From Dmasy --
Layla (104), that is hilarious. I hope the restaurant gave you another salad!
Dmasy (105)
Yes they did!
I wonder if she is on a court order to not publish anything about the 4 minor hostages.
just wondering said... 107

Sickening.

And this is one who is actually a FAN, LOL.
&&&

Kate
always wants to be center of attention and has very little now.I think except for brownlow or hair and makeup people Kate has no one else to interact or hang out with.

When my son was born 11 weeks premature, he had to spend 9 weeks in the NICU.
What would you do if you woke up in the hospital & Kate was your nurse?
I'd probably bust out laughing & then ask her to leave before she has me committed!!

Mady posted a picture with a caption about being home for Thanksgiving.

I have a feeling that the twins will not be spending a whole lot of their time trapped at the McMansion.

It makes me happy to think of Cara going out and enjoying herself without Kate and Mady there.

I think someone said on here that the name was actually shown in the letter on the Dr. Oz show? I didn't watch it, so I don't know.
The comments on her IG are getting more and more emphatic, aren't they? :)
Duggar stuff ... josh held in contempt of court in his real estate case
If anyone would like a chuckle, Jinger Duggar and her husband now have their own website. I won't click on it, but I read about it. It's jingerandjeremy.com, and they really believe they're on their way to fame and fortune. Remember when being famous required some sort of skill or talent or hard work?

Amazing isn’t it.

Interesting that they've proclaimed themselves "the breakout stars of TLC's hit show Counting On".
Sickening.

Wow....Kate has been found in contempt of court and must pay a $1500 fine to Jon, plus she owes him $25,000 for attorney fees. This isn't over yet.
Have you all seen this????
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7805741/Kate-Gosselin-contempt-filming-underage-kids-WITHOUT-work-permits.html
It's about time she's held accountable for her actions!
