Jon has given an interview during the pandemic about what he is up to, and it turns out he's an essential worker, doing IT for a hospital.
As for Kate? Well, Jon is wondering as much as us why she doesn't using her nursing license, which is still current, to help. "There's people dying in need," Jon told The Sun.
As for their ongoing custody battle, he says the judge has now left it up to the children where they want to live, given their ages. Their next court date (like court dates for most of the country with pending court cases) has been set very far out.

Remember the Easter egg hunt? Collin ran all over the place collecting eggs and even helped find them for his siblings. Someone complained he had the most so what did the bitch do? Dumped half of them out for the other kids to find.
I did recently watch the clip where she threw ab absolute FIT over her son's teddy bear because of chewing gum. If she was that nasty on camera about it, good lord I don't want to image off camera.
Did she expect her children to never make a mess, never get dirty, never have an accident? Hot pathetic. She would have been better off having pet rocks instead of kids! Woman acted like she spent all darn afternoon removing stains in her laundry room and nothing else, or slaving over trying to catch the chicken before she cooked it. Woman please. It's not as if she doesn't have convenience of swiping on stain stick and a modern washing machine. I doubt removing the gum took more than a few measly minutes.
But she had stand there and holler at a toddler. Just made her so irrational. Like to see that woman have to survive in a log cabin with an actual iron you heat in a fireplace to press the wrinkles out of one's clothing, if you want heat, to rub two sticks together, a one room cabin for herself and her children having to go catch her own food, butcher it, cook it, if her ahem "Organic" crops don't gross in winter before she has to pickle and preserve it what's she going to do with no sore within 100 miles? This lady has no earthly idea what being inconvenienced really is.
I grew up on a farm way back when. You raised what you ate, grew alfalfa for the livestock, we had chickens. My mother did the washing the old fashion way and hung it out to dry. Gum, oh heavens whatever would we do.
She's just needs a reason to complain and took it out on her poor kids.

I was always amazed at the time outs. From what I remember seeing, those kids did not move out of their spot. I have never known a 2 yr old personally that didn't try to run away from the time out spot. I shudder to think how hard she was on them to get them to stay there. Fear of abuse?

The thing with children is and having learned from experience is: no two are alike and always pick your battles. One might be really easy going and your next one could be that little hellion bent on totally world domination of your house. Just kidding. It's what my husband used to say about of our kids when they learned to walk.
Seems like Kate wanted domination over the stupidest things. Um, yeah, honey? No toddler is gonna give you that. Please. It is clear now, and I hate to say it but I suspect timeout might not have been her true method of discipline in that house.

The gum on the teddy bear - depending on how much gum it could take awhile. Best way I found: place toy in freezer long enough for gum to freeze, then carefully scrape the frozen gum off with a plastic knife. Saves using up peanut butter! Ice cube held on gum to freeze it if said gum is on carpet. I certainly understood her frustration, but the hissy fit was unnecessary...as was calling her SIL to chew her out. (see what I did there? Gum. Chewing out?)

She has disliked C from the very beginning. It is so sad too especially if she truly did have infertility issues. Anyone who has including myself knows you would give your life for your child. Many months of heartbreak go with infertility. When I finally conceived my first child after 2 years of heartache I was over the moon with joy. And the minute I laid eyes on her I was totally in love! My point is I really do think those boys have gotten and will always get the short end of the stick in h8tes eyes. Now if they had been girls their lives would have been a totally different story.

It was her 40th birthday episode and you should be able to stream it on TLCplus, if you have that channel through cable or satellite. That episode to me was cruel from the start. Teasing the kids they were not going, and isn't that when she drove the ATV through the mud at like 10~20 mph? And lets not forget her and Deanna going out to the bar.
I look at her now and see the karma train has caught up. Granted 11 years ago she was on every tabloid because of the split but prior to that she had everything she wanted. Somebody would just pick up the phone and make it happen for her. Now she barely gets a mention in the news. And that drives her crazy. There could be hope though. I follow that casting agency she used for her fake dates. They have a new trivia show about popculture they are casting and she could apply for it. It is offering lots of enormous cash prizes, something right up her ally. Oh wait, on second thought this wouldn't be a good fit for someone who has no idea why we remember September11.
Anyway, part of me wishes Robert had pushed his book when the recent news about C surfaced but then the mother in me says this child has suffered enough and would that set back his therapy.

I think it's hilarious that she couldn't get a single TV appearance out of this latest hissy fit. She's used to having all the networks at her disposal, vying for the chance to let her appear and "set the record straight". Now...crickets. Instead it was Jon who got to make an appearance and tell his side of the story. I don't believe for a second that she wouldn't have called every show she could think of, begging for an appearance. She got nothing. She had been dumped--by TLC, by her "friends" on The View and The Talk, and every morning show, talk show, and tabloid show in existence. Yeah, I think she thought she would HAVE to get invited somewhere after her hyperbolic (and mendacious) statements about Jon. Too bad, so sad. . . .
But I do wonder about the twins, especially. There's no way they didn't see/know about what she was doing to Collin. Did they think it was somehow justified? Did they think this was "normal" discipline? I wonder now if this was why they stopped being around Jon. In addition to all of the "New Daddy/Old Daddy" crap, did they just not feel comfortable being with him knowing (and not being able to talk about) what was happening to Collin at home? Granted, C was marked, almost from birth, as an undesirable from K8's vantage point,
but when and how did they (seemingly) lose compassion for him? We know it was there in the early years, it was filmed.
Further, is it possible that neither C nor any of his siblings EVER revealed to LCDS what was being done to him at home? I know he was pulled out of the school (for the second time) around the age of 10, but it's hard to believe that subsequently NONE of the seven other kids enrolled there ever gave a hint of what he was suffering. Was K8 by that time just so huge a p-in-the-a at the school that they turned away? There are so many questions here, which I'm sure must concern Jon as well.
And not for nothing, but Figure 8? Is it possible they spent hours upon hours filming this family and no one ever saw/said anything? Or, again, were they just trying to placate the Queen Bee and, according to her commands, avoiding the elephant in the room in order to meet their filming schedules? Frankly, I think if at some time in the future, C wants to sue someone, his best bet (besides Mommy, that is) will be Figure 8. TLC, in the end, just bought prepackaged episodes and probably had some vague input into storylines. They handled promotion (a photo shoot or two), but Figure 8 was THERE, for every "episode." Are we to believe that they were not cognizant of what was happening to this kid? After all, they were his "crew daddies," according to the many, many, MANY affirmations of Katie Irene.
The questions just keep multiplying.
Sad but true (#21), I think it is very likely that none of the 8 ever revealed their treatment at home to anyone at their school. Abusive parents pull in ranks and create a clannish environment so that telling secrets is an act of betrayal. Also, they witnessed their beloved father being tossed out without a second thought. Surely at least some of them feared the same could happen to them. And in C's case, that's exactly whay happened.
I don't know where I read it, but I remember something about the girls commenting about how roughly she treated Collin and worried she would seriously hurt him. I want to say SHE actually said it...

Kate wrote herself, in her diary (reprinted in Robert Hoffman's book) that she was afraid that she would seriously hurt C. He was about 2 at the time. That poor little guy didn't stand a chance with her as his mother. Thank goodness he now has loving, supportive parents.
I wonder how Kate feels, having another woman step in to mother H&C. One of Jon's past girlfriends (Liz, maybe?) said she'd try to talk to Kate about the kids and Kate would roll up her car window and drive away. She still had control then, but now Colleen is the one who lives with and parents H&C. That loss of control would drive Kate nuts! Especially since one of the kids living with Colleen is her (former) favorite child. I'm not sure whether she made such a big deal of this latest fiasco because she wanted H back, or was desperate to get her name back in print and her face on TV, or if she thought she could regain custody and go back to filming--or all three. I suspect it's all three. She just did not want to let it go until there was threat of legal action, and even then I bet the lawyers still had to step in and order her to knock it off. I wish I could believe she cared about what may have happened to C--but I can't. She never even mentioned his name or expressed any concern for his well-being. My heart goes out to him.
I've been watching some videos about Gwrych Castle in Wales (I'm a sucker for old British castles), which is where the reality show "I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here" will be filming soon. I've never watched the show, but it seems a little like "Survivor", which I love. I was thinking... wouldn't it be funny to see Kate on something like that? So this year they're at a remote, derelict, supposedly haunted castle in cold, windy, rainy Wales. She wouldn't last a day, and the meltdown would be epic. Of course, I'm still hoping she never gets in front of a TV camera again, but it still makes me giggle to think of her reaction. Rumor has it that Carole Baskin (Tiger King) will be on it this year, so I might watch for the first time. And the castle itself is fascinating--I'm going to add it to my list of "must-see" locations for my dream vacation to Britain. Someday, when the college are a little less overwhelming.....

kris (#26), I, too, have commented here on that relationship. What a gift to a child: to put aside your differences, even when it's challenging. Wolfgang seems to have his head on straight and, at almost 30, has managed to avoid the pitfalls of growing up with 2 famous parents.
TFW was always yammering about "making memories" for her kids. But I bet they would trade all the trips and VIP experiences for a mother who loved them more than she hated their father.

Clack (#27), yes, Valerie remarried in 2011, and her husband Tom is often on her show. And Wolfgang has been on several times, often eye-rolling but in a playful, teasing way. Like, okay Mom, I did your cooking show, are we cool? He's 29, so he certainly has the autonomy to turn her down. Not like the Gosselin 8, 6 of whom apparently "voted" to film while they were still in diapers.

TFW squandered. In my opinion, her toxic personality did her in, full stop. For every person who is difficult to work with, there are 100 others behind them who will be a joy to work with, and will probably work harder (let's face it...there are fruitflies that work harder than TFW).

FlimsyFlamsy and SaraMRN2010 - WOW! The twins birthday has come and gone and nary a peep from TFW. She didn’t even comment on or “like” Mady’s birthday post to herself. I know this is cliche but it’s hard to believe that the twins are 20! With only 4 teens at home TFW really is not special at all any more. I hope that the twins enjoyed their birthday and that as they grow older they see TFW for who she is and make amends with Jon - or, at the very least, Hannah and Collin.
Hmmm, no birthday post for the twins' big day? I guess it's possible that they didn't even come home for it--even though it's a long weekend. Or maybe Kate is pouting because she pitched a fit and didn't get a TV appearance out of it. Or both!
OT! But...speaking of birthdays, little Mr. Sully is now a year old. He walks and talks and sings (kind of...) and loves to dance. He's the silliest little guy, loves to make people laugh--just loves people (and people love him). His favorite songs are Patty Cake, Wheels on the Bus, and the Hotdog song (from Mickey Mouse Playhouse). We discovered that he loves cake, but not icing. The beach is his happy place (thank goodness for Aunt Win's beach house). He is the light of our lives!

You all tried to prepare me for the experience of becoming a grandmother, but there are no words that can adequately express the pure joy of this experience. I had to post picture of him playing in the water because he loves water more than anything.
I saw another video from the Crystal Ball woman, and she is definitely a Kate-lover. She tries to come off as unbiased, but she can't hide her hatred of Jon. She was the first to pick up on the abuse story, and then she claimed that Jon forced Hannah to speak out in support of her dad. Now that he apparently made a comment to The Sun, saying that he would like people to stop trolling Mady, she claims that he sold the story because he must have a mortgage payment due (a common claim of Kate fans over the years). How obnoxious.
Mady chose to have a public account. She knows that she's leaving the door open for people to criticize her. She can whine about being bullied by grown-ups, but the fact is, she is 20 now. She's a grown-up herself. She needs to either deal with it like an adult or make her accounts private. She's not powerless. I suspect she's a lot like Kate. She thrives on attention, positive or negative. Cara has pretty much disappeared from public view, and nobody is posting anything nasty about her. She understands that if she doesn't want negative attention, then she doesn't need to put herself out there. It works for her, and it can work for Mady.
Layla, Mr. Sully is adorable! You will enjoy all his antics as he grows. They're such fun. I have 3 adult children, 2 adult grandchildren & one 11 year old grandson, 2 great-grandchildren (and their spouses) with 1 more due on the 20th All are local but one grandson in the Navy, stationed in Japan. The their kids are 10 and 12.

Thank you everyone for your birthday wishes for Sully! He had an amazing day with family. We're keeping record of all the craziness that is 2020, so someday he can see how weird his first year of life was. None of it really touches him, except for the fact that Gymboree (the gym, not the clothing store)--which he loved--was shut down months ago. We're waiting to see what happens as far a trick-or-treating, and of course I'm probably not going to have my Halloween bash this year. What a shame--it's gotten better each year, and people I never expected to see have been in attendance. Let's just say there were a few Secret Service agents lurking about last year. Part of life in the DC suburbs. Kind of a shame, though...this neighborhood was so dignified before I showed up:)

I bet you love having all the grandchildren--and great-grandchildren--around! Sully is the only one for us, and it took many years of effort to bring him into this world. We never lose our sense of awe at the fact that he exists. I hope there are many more to come.
Oh, well isn't this fun! There is now a "source" speaking for Mady! The "source" claims that Mady wants to stay out of the family drama--but that she's behind Kate 100%. If you're siding with one parent over the other, doesn't that mean you're NOT staying out of it? Sounds to me like you're taking sides. Also--the "source" claims that Mady doesn't want anything to do with filming right now, but in the future she might like to do a spin-off focusing on what the G kids are up to. Ummm--what??? Is Mady completely ignorant of the fact that TLC cancelled their show--twice? Does she know nothing about ratings? Fact is, the G family does not bring in the ratings, and they haven't for many, many years.
A spin-off show--is she serious? As in a whole new show? Not a chance. TLC tried that 3 times (twice with K+8, once with K+D8) and they all failed. Fact is, people might tune in to see what the Gs are up to, but don't find the family interesting enough to watch on a regular basis. They may be able to pull off a special, maybe even a two-part special someday, but never a new series. They were off TV for almost 3 years (2011-2014) and the two-part special that followed did well. And then when they brought back the show, it nosedived. Then after 2 years off the air, the "lost episode" only got 800,000 views. Seems the public's interest goes down as the kids get older.
Am I the only one thinking this "source" is Kate? Claiming she has Mady's full support and then throwing out hints about wanting a future show--that just screams Kate to me. She is never going to let go of her TV dream, and she will never stop trying to use the kids to make that dream come true.

I wish I was as confident as you that TLC wouldn't do a spin-off with Mady. Remember, it's all about the money with these people. And if they could negotiate a low salary for a 20-year-old who is hungry to be back on TV, they may take a chance. I always say they continued to hire TFW because they were guaranteed at least some viewers, whereas a brand new show has no such built-in appeal. But I hope I'm wrong!

Let’s see....the 4 at home won’t be able to film until they’re 18. That’s another two years away. Unfortunately they’ll still be under TFW’s roof since they don’t graduate HS until they’re 19 so I could see her trying to push them into it. I really don’t think that there will be much interest in them by then. Let’s face it, there’s not a lot of interest in them now. I could see maybe a one and done special but not any type of series. Cara has shown by her actions that she’s done with the spotlight and just wants to be normal. Who knows with Mady. Maybe she’ll meet a nice boy in college, get married and have a six pack of her own.

She's putting her house on the market--wow, I didn't see that one coming. I figured she'd hang on to that place for dear life. Maybe the reports of her having money problems are actually true. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen the pictures of the "for sale" sign in The Sun's article. I have to wonder whether she was paying for their living expenses out of the kids' trusts, but now that she had to turn over H&C's money to Jon, and has to spend Mady and Cara's money on their college, there's not enough in the 4 remaining tups' accounts to cover all the bills. Let's hope they have enough for college.
I wonder whether the 4 remaining tups are still in their private school. She didn't post any going-back-to-school pictures, hasn't mentioned them going back to school at all. No wonder Kate is so furious at Jon. She'll blame everything on him (but still won't get a normal job). I wonder how the kids feel about the sale of the house. She's listing it for far less than she pad for it, but houses around that area--especially ones that are expensive and that will have huge tax bills--tend to sit on the market for a long time. It could be that she's listing it so low hoping for a quick sale, but the tax bill (almost $20K last year, and that doesn't include township tax or school tax) is huge.

That's a really stupid money pit to live in with all the kids almost out of the home now. I mean it was stupid before too.
It's a shame she didn't get into something much more long term and realistic from the beginning so that the family home could be in the family for years to come as a central gathering place, but this is Kate.

Guys, duh, TFW can ask a king's ransom for the house because of the DECK! Remember, the add-on she described as literally the single most important thing she ever did for the health and welfare of her kids? All of PA will be beating a path to the door of Ms. Gosselin's Home for Exploited Children so that they too can have a chance to experience the bliss a deck can provide!
Just wondering: Does anyone here doubt that Katie's put aside, oh, a coupla-three million for herself, which will NOT be used for any "kid" expenses as long as she has breath in her body? If money is really that tight that she is selling off the manse for a third less than what they paid, I'm guessing her next move will be to drop off the 4 remaining minor kids at Jon's. IF she's allowed to do this, WITHOUT providing a crystal-clear accounting of expenses over the past 10 years, my faith in the justice system will be irretrievably blown.
As far as Andrea's lawsuit, I anticipate Kate claiming that she was a contract (self-employed) worker who should have been paying her own SS, etc., lo these many years ago. Why would she have waited until 2018 to file a lawsuit? Not sure what to make of this.
Oh and I'm guessing the 4 still with her did not return to LCDS this year. Surely they couldn't still have enough left in their accounts for that.

She had already got away with so much bad behavior at that point, I think she thought she was invincible w/r/t TLC. But I don't think she reckoned on what her obvious abuse of Collin---on-camera---and his disappearance would cost her. She tried to brazen it out for the last two years of the show. But once it became known that she'd sent him to an institution, NOT a school, as she claimed, her days were numbered. Too many people out there have troubled kids, her story just did not ring true, especially not when there is earlier footage of Collin seeming to be just fine, if a little hyper and overwrought at times.
She overplayed her hand, and it's come back to bite her. I hope that whatever of the kids' money can be traced back to the mortgage payments is in the form of "lienholder" and that she is forced to reimburse THEM before she enriches herself. You know in Kate's mind, there's only one winner when all this is said and done: HER.

Okay, I was wondering if this was maybe a fake story--seems almost too good to be true, doesn't it? So I texted a friend who lives near Kate, and she drove past the house after work today. She said yes, there are definitely two signs out by the road, and one of them says,
Coming soon". The story in The Sun said it was going live on Wednesday, so I'm guessing it's actually next Wednesday.
I have a RealtyTrac account, so I looked up the house, and it is still owned by "Katie I. Gosselin and CWM Revocable Trust". So some part of that house belongs to the kids. Anyone think she'll share the proceeds from the sale with the kids? Neither do I. I hope Jon can jump in and claim C&H's portion of it.
I hope Amber is able to collect every cent that Kate owes her, and I hope Kate has to pay Amber's legal fees, too.

But how would moving to another state absolve her in PA from accounting for the money she's already taken from their accounts? I think she's on the hook for that one way or another, and as far as moving them in order to film? Unless she's planning to go YouTube, I don't believe this will wash in any other jurisdiction. As far as we've heard, Jon has legal veto power over filming until the tups are 18, so that would have to be a deterrent to any outside production company, irrespective of where she (they) are located. Who's going to defy a court order for some very iffy return-on-investment? I mean, KATE might, if she's thinking of going the YT route with a handheld/tripod (and since she's demonstrated a habit of defying court orders), but who else would?
I do think the key here is her having to account for the "expenses" for the last 10 or so years, but I don't believe there should be ANY legal loophole available to her to NOT show up with the numbers in a court of law, at some point.

FlimsyFlamsy, thanks for the welcome back! I've still been reading the comments but haven't posted anything for awhile. All the politics commenting didn't interest me but now this news about Kate has my interest and attention again. I've got my popcorn!!
I wonder if she will sell the 3 dogs too. She sure made a mess of her life. The taxes, homeowners insurance, mortgage utilities and maintenance must be astronomical on that place. Then normal living expenses, cars and expenses, kids, food, clothes, school ,etc.

Kate has to sell at a loss because the property has not been maintained. We know that Kate has not kept up the interior of the home. We have seen miss matched flooring. I expect there are other problems with the interior too. The outdoor grounds are probably also in bad shape. The only thing she did to increase the property value was build deck.

The timing of this sale is interesting. I wonder if Kate's slanderous public rant (People mag.) about Jon being a violent, abusive person a few weeks ago didn't quite work out for her in the way she had hoped.

A monster home with no improvements and updating should take a long time to sell in this market. But, perhaps her "celebrity" status will attract buyers. Or, at least, lookers.
I know some really amazing realtors. I would not wish her as a client for them.

I posted her last summer that someone I know in the area had told me that the yard was not being maintained well. It always looked very well kept when TLC was in the picture, but there was a huge difference when it was up to her to pay for lawn care.
Being a "celebrity" house did not work out well for their last house. Jon and Kate listed it too high, thinking their celebrity would attract buyers. It lingered on the market for more than a year, and then sold at a loss. This time she' is listing it low--obviously because she needs to sell quickly. True,she did not maintain the interior well--I'm sure the mismatched flooring, ratty carpets, ugly paint job and hideous window treatments remain. There's probably far more wrong with it--there's a lot you can't see in pictures.

She was hoping to get some major attention out of her rant, but she got nothing, Just her blurb in People mag. Nobody truly believed that Jon was abusive, she never got her face on TV, and if she thought this was her chance to revive her TV dream--well, it didn't turn out that way. She went too far with her remarks, Jon threatened to sue, and she had to back off. No renewed interest by any network, no offers, and now she has a new lawsuit looming and it's pretty much a given that she'll lose. That's a big payout, plus legal fees, and if she's already running out of money--well, ouch! Couldn't happen to a more deserving person.

It may sound mean, but I'm delighted that this is happening to Kate. She has taken so much from so many people. She has lived off the fact that she gave birth to sextuplets from the moment they were born. She worked the kids like slaves, took money from [people who had very little--while at the same time closing on a million-dollar house, threw away family, friends, her marriage, and ultimately her own child. She used people and abused people, destroyed her own reputation, humiliated her kids. All for her love of fame and money. If she ends up destitute--well, that's what she deserves. I can't imagine anyone taking so much, and then blowing it all, but it appears that she has done just that.
My only concern is for the kids. This will be tough on them. She always raved about how the kids loved filming, travel, their house, their pool, their private school. All of that will be gone, plus their friends and everything that is familiar to them. Is she finally going to get a job and support them? There's still 4 kids, plus 3 dogs and a bird. She has used all of them to line her own pockets. Now, at long last, it's time for her to grow up, find honest employment, and support her family the way everyone else does. Can she do it? I doubt it. What employer is going to put up with that attitude? What co-worker is going to tolerate her telling them to stop "playing" that they're doing their own jobs and do her workfor her?
I have a sneaking suspicion that more kids will end up with Jon. That will be the best outcome for them. I just hope they have enough money left for college. They earned it.

I mean I think there's no getting around that playing yourself on TV just isn't sustainable for almost all people, absent some kind of skill like cooking or talkshow host. Someone who is able to act and become many different characters is much better able to sustain a TV presence. The very idea that Kate ever thought this was a long term career is childish and delusional.

It was dated when she bought it, and even more dated now. It was a huge mistake not to remodel, she would have more than gotten her money's worth out of that. She can get away with a house this dated if it were a third of the price, but not at this level.
It basically needs to be gutted, and anyone buying this would know that. You're buying it for whatever the price will be, knowing you'll have to throw a good 200k into it to get it up to speed, minimum, and likely closer to 500k-800k.
